Dremel. Nothing you posted can’t be fixed with a dremel. Cut and shape, repeat for desired effects.

Ditto! I put a rebar cutter and a breaching tip on my muzzle device. I wouldn’t want to use one outsid of all my protective gear. I’m hoping to have them on the site soon. It makes for one hellofa DNA collector too.

Lol. Fuckin cucks will be cucks. I fast forewaded to see the end results. Laughable at best. “Normally I only use this camera to film other men satisfy my wife, where I then jerk off in silence, using my own tears as lubricant. Today Ima gonna show y’all how I can cut threw a shot out 50 year old barrel and a $10 gas tube. Gotta be careful not to knick my lower and upper receiver though. I don’t want to ruin my chances of rebuilding this when my wife rewards me for being a good pet.”

Loaded with "Low Recoil Flight Control 00 Buck" and "3/4oz Slugs" I could easily make this a 50 yard engagement weapon.... No magazine needed. (All pictures are from Suarez Int. - Industry leader on the 14" 12ga and 20ga)

If you guys don't know about him yet, Gabe Suarez (owner of Suarez International) is a HUGE advocate of this style firearm. He has been selling a version of it on his website for a while (I think his version predates the actual Shockwave and Tac-14). Gabe now makes his in a 20ga as well. (Top: 12ga "Battleaxe", Bottom: 20ga "Tomahawk") Gabe has entire schools dedicated to using this firearm effectively. He flat out states that this is now his personal "truck-gun" and keeps one at his side everywhere he goes. He puts a very good argument about why the Shockwave does NOT need a magazine. http://blog.suarezinternational.com/2018/02/reactive-reloading-of-the-tac-14.html

The Shockwave was too much fun in a perfectly sized package.

Hey! dang it. I want that dang pistol

One has to wonder.... why such a long mag tube on a detachable magazine weapon... why a mag to be at all???

DVOR and GovX are both having huge sales right now. It looks like I’m going to purchase both the backpacks I wanted (The VERTX and the hazard4) and I’ll save about $100 in the process. DVOR has a better selection than GovX. Their site looks better too. I think DVOR is owned by Optics Planet.

I had a stainless carry Elite I did the same with. it absolutely killed me to sell it.

That’s a beauty!

I didn’t take that into consideration. Although, in a few reviews that I’ve watched, the reviewer talks about how they can put the charger in the seat in front of them while flying.

I have 36 panels on my roof. I haven’t invested in a power wall yet. I can’t justify the wall for the expense. My largest bill has been $30. The cost of going completely off grid hasn’t fallen low enough to be considered affordable.

I like the idea of being able to recharge multiple devices. My wife and I both carry smart phones. Even her damn watch is smart. We have a couple iPads and my laptop as well. It’d be really simple to charge the battery before we go out, and then use to to maintain through the whole day. Disneyland is a huge power drain on us because I’m using GPS on my family the whole time. The wife also uses the shit out of Disney apps to navigate the park. If power got scarce, or we were out longer than planned, I thought it would be fancy to hang a solar panel from my backpack. Also... Just think of all the urban prepping applications. Having access to solar power, and the means to store that power, would be a huge asset.
-
Anyone here savvy on portable solar and battery packs? I’m looking to supplement my gear with a power source. Family trips and day hikes tend to include more and more tech these days. We’re planning a large Disneyland trip with. The kids and I’m thinking a little extra juice would go a looong way. I’m currently looking at the Goal Zero Nomad 14 Plus and the Mofie Powerstation XXL 20,000MAh.

Is Colt Ar worth the added expense?
Robocop1051 replied to AngelDeVille's topic in General Discussion
A Colt enthusiast will pay for it. I guess you have to decide if you can wait for that person to come by the shop. -
I think "The Rule" should apply here...... Just sayin

I looked at Eberlstock... no sling bags... and I think they charge per letter. They have the best backpacks on the game though.

I take back what I said about the Takedown and the Smuggler... both are for men much taller than I. I found this picture online, the bag on the left is the Takedown, which is about the same length as the Smuggler. The bag on the right is the Plan-C (same size as the Plan-B). I imagine I’m roughly as tall as the gentleman on the left.
-
Yeah. I saw that one. I like the “Freelance” one also, but both were bigger than what I was looking for. I’m still considering the “Takedown” or the “Smuggler” You can damn near put a properly built carbine in those... at least a full size pistol. I worry that the Takedown would be too big for my shortass, and the smuggler won’t hold all the shit I need (for duty). The covert smuggler would work for EDC, but I think the VERTX will be better... and VERTX is on govx.com!!!

On the bag hunt again... I’ve been using the shit out of my Timberhawk Rut Buster as a hunting bag and as my daddy-diaper bag when I haul the two legged critters around town. I like that I grabbed the Kryptek version when I did. They don’t have the option any more. I’m trying not to use this for the kids anymore and keep it kitted with hunting/camping Gear. The dual straps allow me the comfort of loading it a bit heavier than normal, and the waist straps allow comfort of longer walks/hikes. It has really been a phenomenal bag. I decided to retire it from civvy use after my last Disneyland trip with the fam. I still have my 5.11 RUSH MOAB 10 “BOB” that’s completely kitted up for getting the hell out of Dodge. I never leave town without this bag loaded up. It’s mostly a survival type set up, and not really suited for an urban “California” EDC bag... here’s mine on the right, and 98Z’s almost identical bag (right down to the same CRKT Tomahawk lashed to the side) on the left. I swear we were related in another life. Due to the nature of this bag, it usually lives in the trunk of the car, never to be seen or used. My new task is two fold; I need a new EDC bag for just running around town, and I see a sunset coming to my motorcycle officer career , so I will need a new duty bag as well. For EDC, I want some very specific features: • neutral color with no overt tactical features • Sling type with QR buckle • 15” laptop slot • convertible to a tactical application I honestly waited for SHOT to see the latest, and I wasn’t too impressed with the “latest” choices. It seems the best option I have been able to find, came out a while ago. The Vertx EDC Commuter Sling Bag has every feature I want, and almost every feature I desire. The only thing missing would be an external water bottle/drink pouch. That’s not a deal breaker though... this one comes in grey too. This bag offers a small profile platform, plenty of storage and features, and is highly rated by users. I prefer the idea of a sling bag because I don’t plan on hiking with it, I like being able to pull it to the front of me in a crowd or for easy access to the contents, and in case of emergency I can pop a single buckle and be free from it. This lets me move free and light, with comfort, without sacrificing a lot of kit. I won’t be carrying a SBR in this thing, but a few spare mags, a blow out kit, all my electronics and any daily supplies will easily fit. Plus it accepts ballistic inserts... if I wanted to go that far. My second bag is going to be a bit more of a “war bag”. Due to my profession, I have the liberty of making a bit of more overt tactical bag. I have used just about every imaginable bag on duty, from a full sized duffle, down to a laptop case. My time on the motorcycle will eventually end, and the luxury of dual side bags goes with it. What I have learned over the last 15 years of my career is; 99% of the bags life will be spent on the seat of the car next to me, and when I need my gear with me the duffle is too cumbersome and the laptop bag is missing Gear. For the same reasons as the EDC bag, I want a sling bag again. Easy on and off is a must. I want to quickly don the bag, get quick access to ththe bag without removing it, and still have the option to quickly dump it in case of an emergency. Having a sturdy carry handle helps too, since the likelihood of actually wearing it will be very rare. Many times I’ve needed Gear from my bag quickly, and I can’t do that through a simple open window of a car. The bag is either too big to pull through the window, or it’s so small it’s fallen on the floorboard while driving (or I thought ahead and lashed it to ththe seat and now it’s tied down inside). In any case, I’m stuck hanging half in/out of a patrol car digging though a bunch of crap... all the while wishing I could’ve just pulled the bag through the window and tossed it on the hood of the car. One of the bonuses of my situation is that my bag will generally be with me when I’m already wearing a load bearing vest and a full belt rig. My vest and belt already hold a plethora of lethal and less-lethal options, restraints and radio equipment. This bag would be to supply “blow out kits”, mass restraints, breaching tools, massive critical incident supplies. On top of IFAK or first responder kits, I’d like to keep my chem/gas gear and extra protective gear with me as well. Hazard 4 seems to have thought of all my issues as well. Their “Plan B” bag was designed for a Humvee crewman for all the reasons I needed. The bag is narrow enough to pull through an open window, but it’s extended length allows the space for all the necessary gear... even a rifle if I needed! I like the addition of the rigid external case for soft items. I’ll never use the hydration feature, but I like having the option. The compression straps are great for lashing long items like bolt cutters, axes and pry bars to the outside. It even has a drag handle on both poles of the bag, it can be grabbed from any direction. I plan on doing a complete build up on this when I’m done. Anyone else worked out an EDC or work bag option that they like?

I’d be torn between this and a Desert Tech.
