  1. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. Do NOT look at that place. For anything. Here's just a Google runthrough on Blackthorne/Vulcan/Hesse... https://www.google.com/#q=blackthorne+vulcan+hesse Don't even buy something from that place, if it's for your worst enemy. That place is a steaming pile of $hit.
  2. Half that. 40mm objective. Centerline of that, which you sight through, is 20mm up from the bottom of the scope. You want the scope as close to the top of the rifle as possible. Otherwise, you're losing range by way of Height-Over-Bore issues. Your 1.5" centerline mount is gonna be WAY too high, man.
  3. I kinda had a feeling that would be a good loading to work with. Especially when browsing available projos. I honestly looked at what was available for a couple weeks, thinking "NOTHING here that I can use for the BLK, Damnit!!!" Last time over there, they still had boxes upon boxes of the Barnes 110 black tip, AND the PMW Arms 220 subs. Slow though I may be, that light finally went on - and I went back and looked at all the 150s sitting there. I'll start on that rather quickly, probably have some loaded up this coming weekend.
  4. That's one damn fine weapon, Jim!!! Fantastic job on it. <thumbsup>
  5. Even when you need to kick me in the nutz and straighten me out!... :stfu2: <laughs>
  6. SS, check this out... What projo(s) do .308 AR shooters look for? 168s and 175s, sometimes 165s... What projos do 300BLK shooters look for? The light stuff in 110, 115, 125gr, plus the heavies, 200~220... Who out there is looking for any 150s? ME. And they're everywhere. I shot the 220 subs today - disappointing. Now, looking at that CMMG info a few posts up, it matched my barrel exactly. I have the 16" carbine gas. Should work with 220gr Sub suppressed (not tested), supersonic unsuppressed (passed that with flying colors), and supersonic suppressed - didn't test that either, but I'm positive it'll cycle that with even more pressure... Now, it's "not recommended" to shoot the 220 subs unsuppressed, with the carbine gas system - it failed that miserable. Not from an accuracy standpoint - it was ripping up the 50-yard target I was going at. However, it shot the first two rounds, didn't chamber the third. Had to hand-cycle it. And the 4th was hand-cycle. Every round was hand cycle... after it fed the first time. Not enough pressure in my Nemo 16" carbine-gas barrel to cycle the 220s unsuppressed. That chart nailed that one. I'll be loading up some 150s shortly - they'll still be supersonic. <thumbsup>
  7. DAMN! You GOT me, brother - I completely forgot about the pattern on the Dane Armory lowers, no kidding. You DO have a DPMS-based 308. My apologies for heckling you like that. :-[ Okay, back to my normal self now... :fawkdance:
  8. I'd like to see a video demonstration of some Mobil 1 in a spray bottle. Seems to be to thick to "spray" from a bottle. Maybe not, though. Could you put up a short vid of that?
  9. That stuff is kinda new to the lineup - the AR series dies. The ones that come in the black case. That's what the 300 BLK set is that I just picked up. <thumbsup> The bullet seater is also the crimp, and once set up right, you do both at the same time. I'll like this.
  10. Here's an easier piece of data to understand it all. This was developed by CMMG shortly after 300 BLK was announced (and when CMMG released barrels). Makes sense this way... I'll let you know about one piece of that puzzle after tomorrow - I'm taking out the 16" carbine gas 300 and shooting 220gr subs. Says "acceptable" in that chart, so we'll see.
  11. Here's some very good info on it, from all aspects. Plus some 750 meter shots on steel from a 300BLK SBR.
  12. Lesson 65b, man... <lmao> <laughs>
  13. You're making excuses and telling stories, brother - you don't even have a DPMS-based 308... <lmao>
  14. Can you get a pic of that spring, next to a ruler or tape measure? Hard to tell what it really is, could even be a front sight post spring...
  15. This dude is getting ready to "be one with the ice," and shatter the hell out of his left collarbone...
  16. Those are good tires, brother - when it's time for the belt, don't go OEM Polaris. Look at the EPI Severe Duty belts instead. Hell of alot tougher than the OEM belt. http://www.erlandsonperformance.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=CTGY&Store_Code=EPI&Category_Code=beltatv
  17. No. According to them, the AR-10 patterns will run next, when they've got these DPMS-based ones out.
  18. She will when I text her a pic of it...
  19. <lmao>
  20. Oh hell yeah.
  21. There's a nice one on GB right now that's over $1.2k in bids. http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=389773535#PIC And it's had THIS done to it, and the price is still up there!
  22. $hit, blue, that's not a sickness... THIS is a sickness!!! :ugone2far: :cookoo:
  23. GAWD DAYUM!!! You knocked that one outta the park, brother! AWESOME job on that little beast!
  24. Welcome once again, from AZ - but don't call us that! <lmao> An active shooter is defined by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security as "an individual actively engaged in killing or attempting to kill people in a confined and populated area; in most cases, active shooters use firearm and there is no pattern or method to their selection of victims."
