  1. Yeah, he is - that kid was a rock! Did something like 135 pushups in 2 minutes. All he knew was that some other kid did 124, and he was pushing like a madman... <lmao>
  2. Yep! I know I might have ruined your grandson last time through here! Now, you gotta keep him going!... <lmao>
  3. Doesn't increase performance in any way. Cut out the "twang" that you hear, which just tells you your rifle is operating. My opinion on hydraulic buffers is pretty bad. Rene knows what it is. Standard pressure spring are everywhere - that's what people market. Sprinco makes other springs with increased pressures, for different applications. That's where to go for something like that. The only place.
  4. Ejection pattern is going to depend on bolt carrier speed, after firing. If the bolt carrier is going faster, it's throwing brass further. A bolt carrier going slower is a smaller ejection pattern. What affects bolt carrier speed? The amount of gas, bolt carrier weight (semi or F/A carriers, or pistol-weight carriers, for example), buffer-component weight, buffer spring pressure. How much you charge your reloaded ammo also affects it, but not to the degree that the stuff above does (unless you're doing something wrong in the reloading, i.e., pistol powder in a rifle cartridge - gotta be something excessive). So, manage those four things above, and you manage your ejection force and ejection pattern. EDIT - Brother, you'll be running a suppressor, too, down the road. Suppressors increase the gas pressure. If you "manage" a rifle to what you think is perfect (for you), it's going to run different when suppressed...
  5. DSG has the Armalite NM adjustable for $137 with MIL/LEO discount. http://dsgarms.com/ProductInfo/ARM10309050.aspx
  6. Damnit, brother - just in Henderson last weekend. That would have been COOL! Glad to see you taking some time off... <thumbsup>
  7. You can modify any AR15 lower to run that AP ambi catch, brother. <thumbsup> All you need to do is bring the channel all the way to the right side of the lower.
  8. This is awesome news! Straight from the hospital, feeling great, and right to the gun show for a new purchase! <lmao> That's the way to do it, Terry! I'll put those pics up for you, no problem. I'll shoot you a PM with my email address, just send them to that, and I'll get it going. <thumbsup>
  9. I have the opposite problem - she already has hers picked out, it will HAVE to be built on the Battle Arms lower (after she touched the prototype), she knows what parts she wants on it... And it's not D-O-N-E yet... <lmao>
  10. H2 Kawis and the H1 and H3 - those were badass bikes. I'm envious, brother. <thumbsup>
  11. That's not the first time it's happened, from CMMG, either. Another instance right here on the board - survivalshop diagnosed and repaired it for the owner. The CMMG isn't a bad rifle, at all. I think I'd do a complete teardown and rebuild on it if I got one, though. The parts are very good - it's the assembly.
  12. Hey Rob!!! I'm not instigating or anything, but... <lmao>
  13. Oh damn, it's ON!!!
  14. 10.99 @ 127... Nice!!!
  15. ^^^ That's what I'm waiting for!...
  16. Here's the pics of the additional 0.030" on the new pins. Doesn't sound like much, but it certainly helps. The additional length is perfect, doesn't protrude too much, and just works. <thumbsup> BAD pins in this rifle - Gratuitous cactus shot... EPP... ETP... Standard pins in the AR45 - Gratuitous cactus shot #2... <lmao> Standard pivot pin... Standard takedown pin...
  17. ^^^ <lmao>
  18. Dude, you're just better off buying something that's quality, and something that's in stock somewhere. There are PLENTY of good barrels out there. They'll get to 1k yards, if you can do your part. I've seen you bypass those recommendations on good barrels that'll do 1k, just for some combination of "everything" that you're looking for. 5R, poly rifling, melonite or nitride, etc. It seems like you're searching for something magical that's gonna do it for you. Doesn't matter what kind of equipment you have, expensive, cheap, whatever - 1k is not easy to just go sit at a bench, or in the prone, and just pull off. It takes a lot of time, a lot of practice, a lot of ammo, and a lot of varying weather conditions to get good at. Other questions that you've posed recently - saltwater worries. Where do you live that it's going to be a concern? Give us some background on you. You have 5 builds going on, it seems like you've done some research on parts, but there are some strange questions coming out...
  19. Roger, she'd LOVE to go to that! Man, I'm getting all excited already! <lmao>
  20. This'll be good... :)) <thumbsup>
  21. Ah schit, here we go. You motherfuckers went there, with the Choate schit, which gives me a migrane.... <nutkick> I'm just wondering what the fcuk he wants in a full tube with this gun. I can load 7 rounds of 2 3/4" with another one in the chamber, plus another one ghost-loaded on the lifter. 9 - NINE - damn rounds in the thing as it sits, with it's weak-ass stock Choate extended tube, on the stock 18.5" barrel. 5.5 more inches of barrel gives him TWO more 2 3/4" rounds? The length and swingweight alone sucks. Buy a shell carrier, Jon. Fcuk, man. <dontknow>
  22. Just so you know, Superior Barrels supplied some of the original barrels for the Mk12 project, on Douglas blanks. If you research that project, that will tell you about their quality, accuracy, whatever. EDIT - by the way, both those barrels you listed are OOS. Pipedream, for now... I'm just sayin'...
  23. I'll be there, man! However, I'll need a way in... Hmmm... <lmao> Is there a way you can list me as the "Weapons Maintenance Technician" for BAD? You know... the guy that empties the trashcans and sweeps the floors. I'll go to the shop and do it, before and after the show.
  24. There has been a RASH of articles online about taxpayer this, and tax payer that. We, as a country are wasting SO much money, it's not even fathomable. In the bill that passed to end the "fiscal cliff" and the "debt ceiling" bullschit, there was a THREE BILLION add-on - from Fuckstein herself - for some schit on the Ohio River. And not even in the "Ohio" part of the fcuking river. http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2013/10/17/senate-bill-to-end-partial-shutdown-includes-millions-to-fund-dam-project/ It's unreal. The spending problem in this country is NOT imagined, nor dreamt up by Republicans. These "lawmakers" just can't help themselves. This schit is out of control. Motherfuckers need replaced. We need to change the direction of this country, and it needs to happen fast. I somehow see this all happening in some kind of out-of-body-type experience... I'm floating over the top of the toilet bowl, and watching the water swirl. This country is going down, swirling, like a piece of schit... I'm sickened at all of it.
