  1. Terrance Gainer, the Senate sergeant at arms, told Fox News that this appears to be an "isolated incident." Gainer also said the injured Capitol Police officer crashed a police cruiser while trying to join the chase. The cruiser "seriously clipped" a barricade, he said, but the injuries are "not life threatening." No joke, "seriously clipped" it... Suspect is dead. 1 year-old baby is fine. Suspect tried to run down a Secret Service Agent, then the chase started.
  2. I'm all for it!!! Hell yeah!!! Hitting the range at 9am. <thumbsup> Oh Lordy, not another one... No kiddin', huh?...
  3. Differences highlighted. Would I trust it? I wouldn't try to beat someone to death with it, but I don't think it's going to fail. It's a big piece of aluminum.
  4. That wrecked police car is WRECKED bad!
  5. Nice looking shooter!
  6. I've got one on a 16" 5.56 precision rifle. It works, and holds zero after removal/reinstallation. It's no ADM (which I have several of), but it's not bad.
  7. Hey, that's a pretty great place - had breakfast with him there one Saturday morning. <thumbsup> I'm just sayin'...
  8. ^^^ Sure would void it. I'd just send it in and have it looked at under warranty. Well, provided it doesn't take them 14 months to get it back to you. If they're gonna be quick about it, there's no reason not to, but that's something I'd verify in a phonecall prior to shipment. It would be quite easy to bring it up politely - "Hey guys, I'm just wondering how long the process will be, from shipment-to-shipment. I waited 12 months (or whatever) from payment-to-receipt of this rifle, and I'm really excited to get it out and run it..." Something along those lines.
  9. Just happening now. Not many details out yet. http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2013/10/03/us-capitol-in-lockdown-reports-shots-fired/ Interesting date - nothing tied to this, though. 3 October 2013. 3 October 1993 - Mogadishu. 20 years ago today.
  10. Does archery count?... <dontknow> <munch>

  14. Designed by Bill Wilson and the Wilson Combat design team to be the base for the ultimate precision tactical AR-15 rifle, the BILLet-AR matched upper and lower receiver set is 100% machined in our Berryville, AR facility. The Wilson Combat BILLet-AR receiver set was engineered from the ground up to address structural design weaknesses in standard USGI receivers and enhance overall tolerances which improve shot to shot consistency. The BILLet-AR upper receiver has a precise bolt raceway for smoother chambering and more rigid receiver walls to reduce firing flex. The BILLet-AR lower receiver has been enhanced with an oversize magazine well for smooth reloads and an integral trigger guard for gloved use and added lower receiver strength. Our extensive experience as a premier custom builder of AR-15 rifles will ensure your satisfaction with this next generation precision tactical shooting platform. http://shopwilsoncombat.com/Billet-Upper_Lower-Receiver-AR-Style-Matched-Set/productinfo/TR-LOWUPP-BIL/
  15. RRA doesn't like handloads, reloads or remanufactured ammunition. http://rockriverarms.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=page.display&page_id=21
  16. That's exactly what they did. They ran their mouth, to try to win concessions with "the people." As my grandfather used to say, "You better watch it - you're lettin' your Bulldog mouth run your Canary ass..."
  17. ^^^ That's definitely on the DPMS site. http://www.dpmsinc.com/Ammunitions-Warning_ep_59-1.html
  18. Brother, you don't have a .308 bolt gun?... I had no idea... >:D <thumbsup>
  19. ^^^ <thumbsup> <lmao> <laughs>
  20. THese guys that make it are right off Grant Rd, in Tucson. That would be a fun ride down, with tour, I'm thinkin'...
  21. That's damn cool of them - they should do it, but that's a fast turnaround on their part. <thumbsup>
  22. Rainier Arms is now selling the PinBlock, a lo-pro gas block that you pin yourself (instead of having a gunsmith pin it for you). (pics at bottom) http://www.rainierarms.com/?page=shop/detail&product_id=3939 Description: Pinned Gas Block Kit When building rifles, pinned gas blocks are definitely the way to go, but not everyone has access to a drill press or fixtures required to do it right. With the PinBlock, practically anyone with a die-hard fixation on reliability can pin a gas block with as little as a hand drill.* *Proper tools & fixtures are recommended, as is seeking the support of qualified gunsmiths. Features: Simplicity Grooved Dowel Pins fit tightly without reaming, so you can install your PinBlock with less hassle. And they're plated black too, because we can. Durability Knurled Set Screws bite into the barrel for vibration resistance, and Loctite 262 (included) further insures that everything stays put. Critical dimensions are checked multiple times throughout manufacture and again before packaging. Noncritical dimensions are laughed at, and picked last for kickball. Ease of Installation With the Cobalt Drill Bit and dimpled pilot feature, pinning your barrel has never been easier. Compatibility The profile of the gas block has been optimized to fit within the widest variety of free-floated handguards and works for .223, .308, and most anything else under the sun. Intent The PinBlock was designed to be installed with the barest minimum of tools and resources. Think 'bunker scene' from Terminator. Hopefully you won't ever be in that position, wrenching rifles together for the resistance by candle-light, but if you do... we're here for you. Specs: Weight: 1.5 Ounces Material: 17-4 PH Stainless Steel Diameter: .750"
  23. That's right - I'm not afraid of the dark. I'm what you should be afraid of in the dark. :))
  24. That's great news, Lancer - great work. <thumbsup>
