  1. Yeah, MD is kinda far away. You know - and I've said it before... MOVE, brother, MOVE!!!... :fawkdance: <lmao>
  2. HOLY SCHIT!!! Horsepower makes me horny... <hump> <laughs>
  3. That's such bullschit... <laughs> Welcome aboard, man.
  4. Sunday morning (not TOO early) at the CG range. Shoot me a call tomorrow and we'll figure it out. Need to re-zero two scopes (removed and remounted the bastages), and I want to shoot the AR45 more. <thumbsup> Little woman needs CRAVES more trigger time on the XDs, too. :))
  5. Stack quarters, dude. Make your own spacer with quarters, down the receiver extension. Then put in the spring, and buffer. It's a common thing when building a 9mm AR, to keep the bolt carrier from over-travelling, which in turn breaks bolt catches. On a 9mm AR, using a carbine-length buffer, it take $1.75 to get the job done. 7 quarters, which equal about 0.470". If you need 3/8" of space taken up (0.375"),then stack up $1.25 (0.334"), or $1.50 (0.400"), and check the bolt carrier travel and the bolt catch operation.
  6. Right down the road, in Maricopa, man. I'm shooting Sunday, if you want to go - weather.com says the high is supposed to be 87, and overcast. Perfect. <thumbsup>
  7. Hell yeah, brother - that's from the NM trigger. I know I praise the G triggers all the time, but I've got one Armalite NM trigger, and it's a keeper. Damn good trigger, with the adjustable spring on the disconnector (which has been tweaked some more). Almost every single spring I have in that silly, heavy box is an Armalite spring, too. It's all I build with. <thumbsup>
  8. What's your barrel length?
  9. Pat, didn't want to go through the pain of finding that pic, so I got a few more. I like your box layout better than mine, but they didn't have anything like yours when I was shopping. That's a good one that you found. Here's my junk...
  10. Those are fantastic! I run a similar one from Plano for all my spare parts, tools, and a general range-trip armorer's toolbox. There's a pic of the thing somewhere on this board, but I'll be damned if I can find it...
  11. Haven't had this issue with the XDs-45 so far. I will say - if you limp-wrist it, it won't fully cycle 100% of the time. However, if you hold it like a man, it runs like a champ. I'm definitely not saying that is the issue reported with the XDs-9, here. That looks like an ammo issue more than anything else.
  12. They've got some work to do. They need to clean this up kinda quick-like. This is not a good direction for them. One of the comments that was posted under the second story was something like, "They need to fire the person that's hiring these people..." I can agree with that one, for sure.
  13. ^^^ Good stuff. <thumbsup> :happydrunks:
  14. Damn, double-tap. I like the barrel so much that I posted it twice... <lmao>
  15. I've been a big fan of that exact barrel for many years now. Fantastic barrel. <thumbsup>
  16. So, it's like comparing Apples to Hammers... <laughs>
  17. No joke - Amazon is eating him up these days... <laughs> I was laughing pretty damned hard... <thumbsup>
  18. ZEL Custom does this exact thing. http://www.tactilite.com/ 50 BMG, .416 Barrett, .408 Chey Tac, and .338 LM.
  19. The typhoons over there are pretty serious - one hell of a display of some "Pissed Off Mother Nature!" In the on-post housing there, the typical backyard utility shed - those are cinderblock little building. Just to make sure they live through the typhoons. Okinawa is beautiful, brothers - another tropical paradise. I love that place.
  20. Mmmmmm... Getting closer to Dune Season! :2nd:
  21. All this news of companies leaving NY makes me feel better. I hate it for the workers, facing relocation or finding jobs, but the lawmakers that passed that bullschit are getting "phase 1" of exactly what they deserve. They screwed the people. Phase 2 will be when the good people in that state vote their asses out of office.
  22. That's the key to it, right there. Those things are usually coated in a good coat of oil, from the factory. I use blue loc-tite on scope mounts (base/rings), too, when they're not designed to come off. If they're gonna come off for something, I used QD mounts, but the rings still get the loc-tite.
  23. It got even more screwed up within the last two years. You used to have "good" examiners and "bad" examiners. If your stuff landed with a good one, you were two or three months. Now, they're geographically assigned. Some places in the country just have a schitty examiner, and things will not get better...
  24. "Peanut butter... and LADIES!... " <laughs> <lmao>
  25. Ron, I think he's leaning towards something to send to gunsmiths, for them to keep in-house. Repair guns that come in.
