  1. The 6.5mm went to SOCOM. That drives the Regular-Army train right there, in the future. I'll bet right now that anything "new" in cartridge development in Regular Army follows exactly what SOCOM does. SOCOM doesn't care what Regular Army Generals are mouthing off about to the press - they just do what they do, and make shiit happen. The Talking Heads can all sort it out later...
  2. However, there hasn't been any "6.8mm anything" that does what they state this new cartridge for the military will do - do it has to be some wonder-round that someone dreamed up. No 6.8-anything that's out there can do what they state this round can do. It MUST be something new, and when they adopt this magic round and release it - it's gonna be a ground-breaking leap in 6.8mm technology... Or, it's some 6.8mm PipeDream that just keeps getting pushed around the Pentagon, and pimped by people that only know what someone is briefing them on, with zero personal knowledge on ballistics... which doesn't make it accurate... The development of 6.8 SPC came from 5th Special Forces Group, and one person in 5th Group was also the "father" of the Mk12 SPR design, and all it's derivatives. They were movers and shakers in AR development and progression, hands down.
  3. You haven't seen our pistol section yet, obviously. Go check it out. Look for the "Show off your 1911s" thread. We shoot everything, on this forum, man. All of it - and even some things that nobody has ever even heard about yet, ever...
  4. I'll send you some cactus to try out. I have 4 big ones, two are taller than me, and don't have needles. The other two are fucking vicious evil. If I cut a chunk off, I can stick it in the dirt, and it'll grow a brand new cactus. I bet USPS priority mail could get you a chunk that still lives, if you stick it in your dirt as soon as you get it...
  5. I risked it.
  6. That one, right there in red, brother... If the M&P 308 upper didn't mate to it, it's because there something "non-DPMS" on that M&P gun, not the other way around... I had the same issue with a PSA PA-10 upper - couldn't get it to lock on to several different Aero M5 lowers. I had to strip the upper down, rebuild everything (guts) into an M5 upper, just to test fire the components and mods made.
  7. Good work on that, man - I think you're the first person I've seen use the Armalite AR-10 extractor as a replacement for a faulty stock extractor, so kudos to you on that one - good job.
  8. ^^^ That one eats the minishells. Inever knew that until someone here stated it, and owns one. Impressive.
  9. Which is bullshiit. The only thing that's been contracted is the new SOCOM sniper round, at 6.5 Creedmoor, over the .260 Remington. All these Generals talking about the 6.8mm wonder-cartridge are being fed a bunch of BS, yet they still talk about it. Look up some of the stuff these guys have said about that magic 6.8. There's somuch wrong with what they state about it, as far as it's capabilities. It's a 6.8mm pipe dream... 6.5mm projectiles, and cartridges, could pull off what they're saying, but not anything that's in a 6.8mm can...
  10. In my best Morgan Freeman voice...
  11. Why does the thread title (of the actual article, linked) say 6.8mm, but the article starts off talking about the 6.5 Creedmoor? Sounds like the person that wrote the article is confused AF about what they're trying to say.
  12. That's only because that Kawi H2R is LEGIT AF, brother!!!
  13. You can post gun-related stuff here, no worries. You can still post that carpet too, if you wanna risk it...
  14. That's the damn truth, brother. 110 is on us, and 115+ is right around the corner, if this damn monsoon doesn't show up soon. The only thing the monsoon will give us is 10-degree lower temps, and a shiit-ton of humidity, though. It's a lose-lose here in the summer...
  15. Call them on the phone to get it? The feedback on how you got it, after the "out of stock" is important here.
  16. That video is straight from Noreen Firearms - call them and ask. Here's their website, with contact info (scroll to the bottom for their address and phone number): https://onlylongrange.com/
  17. As I know well, brother - they are long overdue to have to look at that review on the interwebz. They deserve it, fully...
  18. NICE work, man!!!
  19. I wish we could hear from him, but he's probably up to his neck in work right now, directly about this... @308kiwi- give a shoutout, brother, when you have time.
  20. "Scheme" is exactly what it is - That govt is just trying to find a way to get the guns out of legal owner's hands. It's a "scheme" alright... with a political agenda, and they don't give a shiit about public safety in the least... Complete "scheme" in the truest definition of the word. That's a pretty straight amount of "about" bulshiit, right there...
  21. CDM Delta Wave oversized safeties will happen to all my Mossbergs sometime. I just need to prioritize it. https://cdmgear.com/shotgunsafeties.html I'm not sure if Rob knows I have the Pirate Gun or not... @Robocop1051
  22. My 930 SPX turns 10 years old next month - it is one seriously nice, smooth shotgun. Just like Greg, I've got a Nordic Comp extension clamp and extended charging handle, plus a Mesa Tactical 6-shell sidesaddle. That NC extension clamp is probably why my cheap (stock) Choate extension tube isn't all mangled up, as weak as those things are... Aguila mini-shells are a no-go in an autoloader, as sad as that news it to hear. Once you pick yours up Al, I can tell you how to ghost-load an additional shell on the shell lifter, though. Full extension tube, one in the chamber, the additional backup sitting on the shell lifter. My favorite trick to play on people that aren't watching me load it, is: Tell them I'll top it off with 7 1/2 birdshot for them. Put a 3" magnum slug in there first, then load the rest of the 2 3/4" 7 1/2 bird... When they pull the trigger on that last one, buddy... I always have the camera ready on that... That face is priceless...
  23. Quite okay to post here, man. You can sell the old carpet out of your house here, if you want. Just include pics of that actual carpet you're selling, and not something generic off the 'net, and a price. I don't know too many people here that will buy the carpet, though...
  24. That's not a rookie mistake, Al - that's pretty far up there in the advanced stages of reloading, man, with what you're working with. Even 100fps slower is pretty damn impressive!
