  1. I found that one already...
  2. Very well could be, and that was going to be my question - What ammo are you shooting? I'm in AZ, so I can tell you heat does have an affect. It shouldn't make your gun go crazy, though.
  3. I'm glad to see it spreading up North!!! I've let my participation slack for a few years now, but I need to get back in it. I was instructing up to 2013, and I need to get back in it. Project Appleseed is a great, great even to hit up, and there's many to choose from in every state down here. What do your instructors teach for history? Here, it's one hundred percent about the events leading up to 19 April 1775 - the start of the Revolutionary War, and why/how we got to that point of "The Shot Heard Around The World."
  4. Brother, there's ALOT of it here already, and two giantass Amazon boxes were here when I got home... Let me know when the bulk of it will arrive, because I'm just DYIN' to get a "group photo" of all this stuff... You don't have a "corner of the closet" in the bunkhouse room anymore - you have HALF of the closet...
  5. I love Canada, and the people. My sister-unit for a decade was 3 PPCLI. Those are some hard bastards - love 'em. We partied every year for a week with them, and the date revolved around 5 December 1944. Menton Day. Much respect...
  6. You shoulda seen the look on my face when the bastard pulled out the grenade launcher... that I promptly snatched away and went nuts on...
  7. Just lookin' out, brother - They are quite possibly the largest AP dealer out there, and there's no "proof" to my theory, just what I see. You'll see limited edition painted sets on APs announcements, and they're sold out within minutes sometimes. There will be MANY available on Schuyler's website for quite awhile afterwards... That = BIG Aero dealer... Another great Aero dealer is "Arm Or Ally." They just used to be Monmouth Reloading, and I've bought from Monmouth for a long time. Once they branched out solidly into "hardware," they decided to change their name to reflect "more than just reloading." Both those companies are very solid, as well as Bking... I wish I got a cut from this shiit...

    PT

Hey fucker, I caught that one...
  9. NICE FIND, BROTHER!!!! I'll check into that one. Right away, it will need a mil-dot scope, Boyd's TactiCool stock and DIP bottom metal. I love my Mark II FV-SR, it's a badass little bolt gun, for all things .22LR. I've found myself dreaming that it had just a little more punch, though. This will solve that. Damn, then I need to paint it like this one...
  10. P80 gives a Glock the proper grip angle, of the 1911... John Moses Browning was a genius. Polymer80 recognized his genius, and incorporated that design into their Glock frame. Both as smart as fuk, and I respect both companies.... P80 "fixed" the most common issue with the Glock design... and fixed both worlds...
  11. I was local there, with those fuckers, for 12 years, brother. I lived in the wet-side of WA for most of my adult life. The two greatest things in nature there are the Elk, and spotted owl...
  12. ^^^ Solid Aero Vendor, right there, along with Schuyler Arms.
  13. They're great, with gravy. Just like spotted owl. Bitchin' recipe for that one.
  14. I'd hunt the hell out of my 13.5" if I was never going over 150 yards. I'd hunt that thing to 300 yards without question. No way would I go over a 16" .308 Win AR barrel for that distance. No way.

    Grilling

That looks like that fucker I cooked a few months ago... That guy needs "more grill..."
  16. That's a pretty damn nice setup, all in one kit. Very nice.

    Great Music

One of the greatest songs ever made, brother - good pick.
  18. Why didn't you run the gas block wide open from the very beginning, and test it? You stated (in red above) that it was wide open. Further down, you state that it fired on setting five, but you have to open it further to setting seven to get it to function...
  19. It's literally 4 months out - that's gonna be a tough deadline, brother. Zach is a badass, though, but that's still a PUSH... You coming down? Bring 500Blk... We've already proven the 338LM, let's run 500Blk... We can let THE BIG ONE wait for closer to SHOT...
  20. If you're not here for this Fall Shoot, then you won't get the head's up on it, or shoot it. If you're HERE for the Fall Shoot... you'll shiit yourself...
  21. Unexpected BONUS in my brass purchase, and they're BAD... Thanks, Pete!!!
  22. I only have one with that PDQ bolt catch/bolt release, and it's on the 25-45. I love it, too. WAY-smart design, and we can add that to any lower receiver. Damn good lookin' gun, brother. Call Bear Creek about that barrel - I talked to them at SHOT, and their stuff has a pretty solid guarantee. If you tell them the issue, I'm sure they'd send you another barrel with zero dollars expended. Teal Blue Bravo (that's an Infantry reference) is the only company that makes that PDQ, for those that didn't know. Several companies sell it. Support the source, if you can. I'll be adding more, over time, but I've never prioritized it. https://www.tealbluebravollc.com/
  23. Because. Deadpool is a complete Badass. I had to fire this one up after watching DP2 again... She's my age. Completely Smashable...
  24. Found a really good article, and a completely different viewpoint that I haven't seen presented before: https://gatdaily.com/self-selection-an-overlooked-factor-in-the-gun-debate/?trk_msg=0MA1MDNVQIA4R8NFIHNA13S0I8&trk_contact=8V0L65B89JG3CKL2PPP2IG35AC&trk_module=new&trk_sid=2ISK88U04FM0CBE6H9A5BK4JCC Self-Selection: An Overlooked Factor in the Gun Debate By DRGO June 26, 2019 From our friends at DRGO (from pitchfork.com) It’s probably not what you think, so let me explain the context. One of the obvious missions of the anti-gun lobby is to magnify the negative consequences of widespread gun ownership in America. As you probably know, they do this in several ways. Most notably, while discussing rare and highly disturbing crimes like mass murders of children, they throw out a number that represents all types of gun deaths. This distracts attention from the fact that most gun deaths are suicides and most gun murders are criminals killing each other. Misdirection is a cheap trick, but it keeps working well enough that it’s been a go-to tactic of anti-gunners for years. Another tactic is to compare U.S. gunshot deaths with a carefully selected group of “developed” countries. If you cherry pick the data carefully, you can make the U. S. look like a very dangerous place that is desperately in need of more authoritarian gun laws. A more realistic measure of violence is to compare our country with all countries and use the overall murder rate rather than just gun deaths. If you do that, the U. S. is right in the middle of the pack. There is no tsunami of death—our murder rate has been declining for decades. If you look beyond the primary source of homicides, gangs and drug criminals in certain cities, America is one of the safest countries in the world. Not bad for a stressed-out, multi-ethnic society with lots of freedom and from 350 to 600 million guns in civilian hands. So, with such a huge number of guns in a turbulent society, why isn’t our overall murder rate sky high? One reason is never mentioned in gun law discussions. No, I’m not going to throw statistics at you. This theory is strictly based on my own observations, what I call “ground truth.” Everyone in my large circle of friends knows I’m a gun guy. I’ve taken many novices to the range to introduce them to safe gun handling. It’s one of my passions. I’ve had many more chat with me privately about their personal feelings regarding gun ownership. I’ve learned that people generally know when they are not suited to taking on that responsibility. I’d love to have a dollar for every time someone told me they don’t trust themselves to keep a gun around. They worry about their temper, their ability to react appropriately in an emergency, their use of intoxicants, their relationship issues and other factors that affect their mental state. The biggest reason we don’t have an astronomical rate of gun deaths is simple: people generally choose the best option for their own circumstances without orders from the nanny state. This “self-selection” contradicts the idea that we need to be micro-managed for our own safety. As a result of self-selection much of what the anti-gun lobby claims they want to accomplish has already been done individually by the people themselves at zero cost. No tax money expended, no freedoms restricted, no need for state-mandated mental health exams. This theory of self-selection is one of several important reasons that gun control laws have no measurable effect. It’s been ignored in the gun control debate, probably because it can’t be weaponized in the war on liberty and our civil rights. . . —Dr. Michael S. Brown is a pragmatic Libertarian environmentalist who has been studying the gun debate for three decades and considers it a fascinating way to learn about human nature and politics. 25. I'm DEEP into this 9x39 dream right now. Barrels and dies available from KAK, and that's what kicked it all off. I hate getting emails like that... https://www.kakindustry.com/catalogsearch/result/?q=9x39 After getting KAKs email that they now have dies available, it led me to find out more, and I found this article: https://www.rifleshootermag.com/editorial/the-9x39-a-new-cartridge-from-russia/329695
