Armed Eye Doc Posted February 16, 2015 Report Posted February 16, 2015 I was digging through a closet and found this. I have a truck that has a working cassette deck. I would clean it but it hasn't been cleaned in 18 years and would probably stop working. :loser:
DNP Posted February 16, 2015 Report Posted February 16, 2015 Damn...that's in mint condition too. Wonder what it's worth?!
Armed Eye Doc Posted February 16, 2015 Author Report Posted February 16, 2015 It has been opened and used at least once.
DNP Posted February 16, 2015 Report Posted February 16, 2015 Oh...well all that value is probably right out the window then. Damn. My work truck still takes those cassetes. It's a shame I threw away all my tapes years ago.
survivalshop Posted February 16, 2015 Report Posted February 16, 2015 I have used them , way back when . I can't remember if they do any good .
shepp Posted February 16, 2015 Report Posted February 16, 2015 I got a cassette deck in my 04 silverado I actually run my phone/MP3 player off it. I could use one of those it's been telling me to clean it for a year or two lol
Microgunner Posted February 16, 2015 Report Posted February 16, 2015 I just Googled cassette deck cleaner, the net's loaded with them.
Armed Eye Doc Posted February 20, 2015 Author Report Posted February 20, 2015 How about 8 track cleaners ??? I remember them but can't say that I have one.
Rsquared Posted February 20, 2015 Report Posted February 20, 2015 How about 8 track cleaners ??? Does that mean....that you still have an 8 track player? <laughs> Not judging. I've had my share of them over the years.
unforgiven Posted February 20, 2015 Report Posted February 20, 2015 I had a 4/channel 8 track player in my 74 Nova, it was badass.
sketch Posted February 20, 2015 Report Posted February 20, 2015 Pics bro! I rember as a young lad listening to the Eagles on 8 trac I was more in to the seagull skull cover!
DNP Posted February 20, 2015 Report Posted February 20, 2015 I had a 74 nova for a short tine that had an 8 track in it as well. Don't know if it worked or not. Never even got to drive the car. Inherited it from my grandma and stripped it down...never fixed it up. Was the 6 cylinder model my grandfather bought brand new in 74. The receipt was in the glovebox. Think it was $3700+/-
unforgiven Posted February 20, 2015 Report Posted February 20, 2015 $hit brother wish I had pics of that car.it was a Nova hatchback,buckets,350 ordered it from the dealer for $4500.00.Put Cragers, 70's, airshocks. It was my rolling love shack.Wound up trading it for a 79' MGB....I got that Eagles album you mentioned <thumbsup>
Armed Eye Doc Posted February 20, 2015 Author Report Posted February 20, 2015 I had a 68 Nova with a 327 that I bought from my brother. I had a cassette instead of 8 track.

Microgunner Posted February 20, 2015 Report Posted February 20, 2015 My first wife had a 70 Nova when we got married. The first thing I did was trade it off for a 69 Roadrunner. Loved that Roadrunner. It's a shame I kept wrecking it. Worst brakes ever.
unforgiven Posted February 20, 2015 Report Posted February 20, 2015 Worst brakes or heaviest foot brother Micro.... <lmao> <laughs> Roadrunner was a nice car.Back in the day we all just spun off a car for another, who would have thought thier would be more value later down the road. <dontknow>
