survivalshop Posted May 24, 2015 Report Posted May 24, 2015 Went trolling for the first time today, 10-15 short walleye, few small pike, one white bass and one keeper walleye Nice walleye , I miss fishing for them in the Great lakes . I still have all my trolling rigs & lures , they haven't been used in over ten years .

We were out again today in the rain caught 4 pike, had a HUGE pike take a swipe at one of the planner boards coming in. Caught 17 short walleye a white bass and a 12" Perch. Cold and wet but fun

shepp Posted May 6, 2019 Author Report Posted May 6, 2019 It was the season opener here again this weekend, instead of battling the masses on lakes we fished the river and flowage, which is open all year. Put a pretty good hurt on the walleyes, I had a monster pike on that was big enough to pull the trolling board under like jaws!!! Two head shakes and the slimy fuck cut the line. think we caught 15 fish, I kept one for dinner and thru the rest back. Also think I caught my PB SAUGER at 17”

Sisco Posted May 6, 2019 Report Posted May 6, 2019 Nice! Spent the weekend catching Coho and Brown trout. Nothing exceptional on size, so no pics. Had a couple of nice fish fries though.

Had a couple of nice fish fries though. I’d like to see a slot put on this lake (where you and I had dinner) 3 fish 15”-20” 1 over 28”. A 20” fish is a good fish out there. I normally throw anything back over 20-21” and I wouldn’t mount one unless it was a slob like 29-30+

We couldn’t stay below 2.5 mph with the kicker all the way down on idle
