I would just love to have another Garand from WW II era 40's time frame.I see them in the Garand journal,but no.

 

Had a bro with an IverJohnson carbine,smooth shooter in .30 cal.

 

Chicago typewriter is on the list,but no.

 

Thier will be pics,that why I feel in love with this rifle.

Rene, it sucks you missed it, brother, it really does.  You were almost the "bid sniper," but there was ONE other guy out there.

 

Makes no never-mind, though.  In consolation, you know the Lee Enfield jungle carbine was the initial basis for the development on the De Lisle Carbine, right?  THAT is one sick motherfucker, right there.  Never before in history has one carbine dominated a segment of the military battlefield and battlespace, as the De Lisle did.  Holy shiit, that carbine is unreal...

I sporterized an old Enfield .303 for my final project in a gunsmith course back in the early 80's, think I paid $35 for it. It went to my brother and now my nephew. It has killed a good number of deer but odds are it would have killed those same deer in the original configuration, live and learn.
