Ar groups on Fb

Idk if this type of thread is allowed but...

I just joined two groups on Fb, primary and secondary, and novice and secondary.

What a giant conglomeration of retards, Circle jerkers, and cut juzzlers!

They said that Windham weaponry sucks, and their subject matter expert armorers said that a guy brought one in that wouldn't run for crap, and that it had a 308 receiver extention...

What a flippin group of tool bags!

And every time they disagree they tag their buddy, the "sme" who just says something stupid, and uses his other buddy, another "sme" to back him up...

I have almost never seen a fact on the page from a reputable source... Just circle jerkers.

Anyone else on these pages or experienced this Ar foolishness?

My online firearm footprint is relatively small. This is my home. There is a really bad local forum that I primarily just troll, and barfcom where I never leave the classifieds. I scan the outdoor/firearm sales pages on FB and have friended a few manufacturers pages but my main FB activity is trolling lib news sites....because it's very entertaining. My wife is part of so many stupid groups on there that I can't even navigate through it, so I usually go straight to vice news and offend hippies.

No F-book for me, couldn't get past the user agreement! I frequent two other sites, SigTalk and AR10T and the 10T site is about dead. I do look on barfcom for info like reviews and specific issues but seldom find what I'm looking for due to a lack of patience, too much crap to sort through. I signed up here in 2011 but didn't really post anything till a little over a year ago...........stayed pretty broke since then <thumbsup>

THE BEST enablers on the net are right here!!!!!

I use FB for keeping in touch with my spread out family, it is more like being in a conversation than emails, plus some local sportsmen groups. Used to be an avid AR10 T member, but like JT said, it is about dead. Use twitter to follow some friends in overseas hotspots, less censorship than FB. Mainly this has become the internet place I hang out on.

Out here in the boonies we use FB to keep up with stray livestock dogs and cats. Highway wrecks grassfires, school activities school ball scores. There are sell and trade groups, fishing and hunting reports current criminal activity. All my kids and grandkids are scattered we post pictures,etc.,etc. Storm warnings radar screens. Funerals, births and recipes. Works easier than having to remember email addresses. Works kind of like a visual old timey telephone party line.

That's what I miss

I do facebook for family stuff- more reading than contributing, but it keeps me up to date.

Have found both fb worthless on gun info, generally, ditto youtube for the most part.

Thing about this site is, if the input/advice gets sketchy, somebody who really does know jumps in.  Lots of sites just don't have that kind of safety factor, and that's huge.

I've been reunited with some people from wayback on there so it's cool. I'm also an a-Whole and have no problem NOT accepting friend requests from old acquaintances. Found some guys i was in basic training with on an M1 tanker group and we were laughing about those days, and one of our drills popped in and said hi. Guy remembered me and the nickname he gave me back in 1996. I almost went to parade rest when I saw his comment pop up.
