That funny.  They are actually pretty common during certain times of the year.  Dangerous too when they are warming up like that cuz some of them can get pretty damn big and if you run them over they'll make quite a deal when you don't see them and hit em with the props or an outboard.   I've seen them as big as 8 feet across out there just soaking up the sun. 

Pretty cool when you get in close and get to check em out though.
