I was planning on keeping it, I just fell into that aimpoint so I don't need it. Plus, I'll be turning about 100% profit on it.

As of a few days ago some of the first guys to return them (about a Month ago) reported eotech said the sights were received and refunds were being processed. Don't think anyone has a check yet

Well I have two and I like them but Idaho winters can get cold but on the fence about sending them back.. the process seems like a long one and I need the sights..

Well, the zero shift isn't a certainty, it's just a possibility. Obviously it took the gov a long time to discover it. Might never happen to you. I think from an ethical standpoint the company is shitty for sending the sights into into combat in regions they knew could affect reliability and covering it up. I'd still keep mine if I didn't find that aimpoint deal but I sure don't feel bad about 86ing it.

Mine was delivered yesterday. Tic tock

I'm kinda with Plane on this one. I've always liked the 553's that I've got. I've never seen a problem with them. More than likely, I'll keep them, and just not add any more to the roster.

I have been on the fence about returning my EXPS3-2Tan, I like the sight.

My informal testing has not demonstrated any issues.

If I replaced the EOTech it may be with some brand of 1-6 magnified illuminated scope.

From Soldier Systems.net

We’ve received similar reports from multiple sources so we feel comfortable sharing this info regarding refunds for EOTechHolographic Weapon Sights.

The refunds will be in the form of a check, processing has been outsourced due to so many returns, and the checks will be sent out within the next two weeks. Also, there should be a phone number to deal specifically with return issues. Once we have it, we’ll share.

Baby steps

Thanks for the links brother Mike.Sent mine back as I couldn't get what I paid for by selling them. Also wouldn't want to pass a problem on to another shooter.I'm likein the 1-4,1-6 illuminated setup.

Hey Blue, just a heads up, but I'm really liking my Trijicon MRO. It's a fair bit cheaper than the T1 & I feel confident in its reliability & durability.

Those do look neat, but there's a few instances of failure on the big forums. Think I'll wait till they get some tenure. Also, I'm still a little disappointed in trijicon for bailing on that vets discount they offered last year.

I have decided since I am in a place it gets cold to return mine and i guess I will just bite the bullet and get a acog

Can't go wrong with an ACOG brother.10_with_ACOG.thumb.JPG.aae64df2f28c03d34

Welp,.. I'll "Chime In.." I am in the 'burbs of Savannah, Ga. and did send in my xps-2 right after Thanksgiving because I had "Blooming"

and edge fade issues w/ mine..

BTW - No... It does NOT get cold here comparatively, but Hot we do well.!! :)

I received only one email thus far and Eotech does NOT answer phones apparently, so I am at frustration level 10,

but luckily a career with first the U.S. Army then USCG taught me some extra patience...

Besides, in the mean time I went ahead and acquired a new to me, Aimpoint CompM4s and I'll have it Friday. :D

'TROUBLE is... Now my OCD side is flaring and I have to sell my 1st Gen. Eotech 3x magnifier because obviously it will never work

(Read match with..) with an Aimpoint.!! :D Haha!!

At the LE annual shoot yesterday, one of the DPS officers was running Eotech.  I asked him "You didn't feel the need to get a refund for your Eotech?"

He said "Nope.  It has always worked for me.  I like it!"

I understand keeping it on a personal weapon, but after the disclosure I'd think agencies would ban them on duty weapons. There is now a liability built into it that any lawyer could exploit.
