I read somewhere that if your not running an Aimpoint then you need a effing piss test! Lol, I think I'd make an exception for the new Trijicon MRO...

I still like eotechs. I don't plan on leaving my house at those temperatures.  Chances are the gear queers on AR15.com will loose it and used cheap eotechs will flood the EE

I baked my 512 twice at 170 degrees.  Lemme take it out for some 100-yard accuracy testing and see what shakes out.  Last time I shot it, it was dead-on, post-bake...

I think they're saying it has trouble operating at those temps, not that it'll never work again after reaching them.

In terms of red dots I've always had EoTechs and Aimpoints, and they've been flawless, but I got to tell ya after buying a couple of these Vortex strikefire ll and a SPARC ll for the kids and seeing what kind of optic you can get now days for $200 bucks... honestly I'm not sure how many more high end red dots I'll be buying.

Now conventional rifle scopes is a different story. ;-)

Eotechs work.

Aimpoints work good.

TA01ECOS work better.

Elcan Specter works best.

That is opinion of one individual.  I am still partial to the TA01ECOS for most applications even though most people balk and the differing cheek (chin) welds.
