Texas kindness

unforgiven

Recommended Posts

Just got back from San Antonio and Dallas.Saw the last Aunt and uncle I have left.Went to the cemetary's San Fernando #2 and Ft. Sam Houston.I have my grandparents and aunt at San Fernando and my 2 uncles and an aunt at Ft. Sam.The sea of headstones at Ft. Sam is crushing. They bury 20 a day there.

Finnally had a chance to visit with one of our esteem members here.Brother Jeff [Washguy] and his lovely lady Char.My wife and I had the time of our lives. There is a very good reason why he is the grill master in the grilling section. We had the pleasure of having a pork butt and some Nolan Ryan steaks cooked on the Green mountain that were fukin fantastic. The steaks almost 2" thick were soft as butter, cooked to perfection. If that wasn't good enough we went out to the range where my wife had a chance to get behind an AR.She loved the .300 blackout and the 6.8....the .308 had a little more push for her likein but shot and enjoyed it none the less.Everyone there was super friendly. Then I put on a pistol shooting clinic for my brother with that STI 9mm....BWAHAHAHAH.Damn bueatiful pistol that wife also enjoyed shooting it.We were welcomed with open arms...this kindness will never be forgotten.1 more year and I look forward to visiting my other brother here on this forum.Had a great time.We left for Midway and it was freezing, roads were icy.Got off the plane into the 70's..loved it.I was a little surprised that my brother sounded taller on the phone.Hahahaha,Thanks again brother.

Lots to see in Texas brother.Just missed "Fiesta" in San Antonio, that is a total city  party. There's the River walk,Alamo,Hemisphere, the "Missions tour" on and on.For a single guy the women are hotter than the fukin sun, that is no $hit. You got "Palo Duro" state park,Texas A&M also has Colts collection of firearms. This is in Amarrillo. You got the "hill country",Padre Island,Corpus Cristi.and I know I'm leaving out a ton of other places.

Brother Jeff I know where that "Dulce de Leche brownies went.....IN MY BELLY.....damn they were good.....got any left.....I'll be right there...hahahah

Sounds like y'all had a great visit. I'll be blowing through Big D a little south of ya on I-20 this Tues then again Thurs on the way back from the Texas Water 2016 event in Ft Worth. Would love to stop for a minute but I'll be riding in a city vehicle with others in tow and in a hurry to get home.

Just caught the news this afternoon, seems like we made it back just in time.Rain pounding the area, flights cancelled.

The first wave of storms are leaving the D/FW area & heading out my way now. Forecast is for 3"-5" the next two days. I trust our friend Wash buttoned down the hatches sufficiently.

Just talked with my niece who lives in Houston to see if the family is okay. Sounds like an even bigger Texas Water 2016 event is going on in Houston!

We have been doing Okay out here in the boonies. Got between 4.5 inches and up to 6 inches in the neighborhood.

We are praying for the safety and wellbeing of the folks down around Houston.

Country folks just don't go when we don't need to, and we never need to drive off into wild running water.   Our lake has come up about 4' in the last three days.
