System Update 4/27/16

From the general:

Hey guys Wednesday at 8pm eastern we are migrating to a bigger more powerful server. Its located in a different part of the country. Currently both servers are running but the new has data that was current on the 18th. There's a lot different about this server because its new. Things me be a little crappy to start because the years of tweaking are not relevant with this server. We need to address bottlenecks as they appear. It's important to get off the old server as my expenses are more than twice normal. Anyhow Jason has my back and ill need you guys to tell me what's broke or slow so we can respond.

Can't imagine how much fun you  must be having.  Just blew a hard drive, replaced the desktop, both first and second replacement computers failed!  Yup, two of 'em.  Picked up #3 today, software reloaded, running like a champ.  God help us all if I was dealing with the server!

Fire that bitch up!  We will do just fine.  Just to help out, I have dialed my whine and snivel buttons down to less than level one.

I was unable to get in for an hour or so before I went to bed, but that was all I noticed.  Congrats on a pretty easy migration.  Anytime you do major work on a server, it's a success if there are only a few problems. 

Plus, it looks like we lost Gator Monroe in the move. ;)

Interesting. I couldn't sleep last night, so I got up, got on my computer and logged into 308AR.com. Wow! Talk about alien landscape. The pages were really bizarre, and there was no forum whatsoever. Glad it transitioned well.

Good job Boss, however, last night around 2200 I did get a bit antsy, had the home page and a blue botton [JOIN FORUM->]  but it went NOWHERE! I said I'll try in the morning....and everything is co-po-setic!

Anyhow, there will be another brief outage at some point to make one more set of DNS changes. There is also a new version of the forum software..again.
