More F18 model D's . They land on aircraft carriers.

They would end up like the F-15's in the vdeo.

Cool video, but too much faux cartoon is mixed in with actual footage.

Hey!  If cartoons were good enough to invade Iraq a 2nd time, they're good enough to demonstrate Air Supremacy!

Very short sighted, as the video says. Very good chance the next fighter might be a semi-autonomous drone.

Saw/heard a statement that these state side non combat drone pilots are suffering from ptsd or similar worse than some combat vets because they're is no sense of their life's being threatened. where a combat vet can rasionalize killing an enemy because "it's me or them".

I would believe it. I also am guessing the military is working with psychologists to "condition" them to prevent this. Just makes sense. Scary though.

The ultimate issue with undeclared, limited warfare.  personally I believe that if you are to fight a war it should be declared and fought all out.  Yes, civilians will die, but if war is in retaliation that is the initial aggressor's decision.  Keep in mind that to me terrorists are a subset of the Country that protects, funds, supports them.  My wife survived the bombing of Essen as a small child. 90% of the city was destroyed, but that is what war is.

The moral and PTSD is an issue with drone pilots, my son is with the reaper in right now and I worry about it. I was with the predator drone maintenance for some 13 years and I knew of one pilot get up and walk out just after being cleared to fire a hellfire on two guys. He never flew again, we didn't like the guy as he wasn't very good pilot, over speed two aircraft and a hard landing on another one. I provided maintenance documents to the pilots review board.

As the saying goes,  "it's not if a predator is going to crash but when" ops tempo is none stop, it never ends, once being mission qualified, drone crews will fly everyday of the year if the AF could make that work. That's because there are drones everywhere, if weather is bad at one location you just fly extra sorties somewhere else.  One could fly 4 hrs in Afghanistan, weather goes down and then brief for a sortie out of some other location for 4 more hrs.

My son had probably helped kill some 30 guys so far between Syria and Afghanistan, he likes his job a lot.

Unleashing the overwhelming power of the US military would stop most of the crap done to us around the world in short order.  They do know how to wage war when the politicians stay out of the way.  At least they did prior to Obama gutting much of the commanders.

Remember, the purge of combat-experienced generals began under Clinton and then continued under Bush (remember the whole "I refuse to serve under a U.N. commander" debacle?), then peaked under Oblahma.

There were scores of nuke command generals and admirals that resigned under Bush, few people batted an eye.
