The Government run Flood Insurance only will cover about 25% , then if you want more coverage , you need to go to your Home Owners Insurance , for the rest & that IS Expensive . unforgiven Posted September 13, 2017 Report Share Posted September 13, 2017 Glad everyone is ok. When I got this house it was in a flood plane and I had to have Flood Insurance. In the fine print was a set cap not to exceed. That coverage was about 1/3 the actual value of the home.
