Picked from the field of Ranger Instructors (RI's) that are stationed at Ft Benning, in 4th RTB.  That's the first phase of Ranger School (Ft Benning, and 4th RTB), and where they do those demos.  It's staged/presented out at Victory Pond, at the Water Confidence Course.

Here's what it is - this is some family-wife video, so that's her backdrop music - but you get the gist of it:

Thanks. Brother. Good to be back on.

One of the guys I was on tanks with in Germany, was as anti Army as you could get. Even had FTA under the brim of his hat in Germany. The crazy bastard got out and I lost track of him. 15 years later I found "Hoss" once again. The crazy bastard got out of the Army and reenlisted two weeks later, and was accepted to Ranger school! Retired as a Sargent First Class in the Rangers. Proceeded to work at Ft. Bragg as a civilian. We lost him 4 years ago to cancer. Hoss, if you can read this upstairs, I miss ya bro!

Life is funny like that brother. Family is Army , Army Air Corp, and Marines. I was 4F because I had contacted poliomyelitis another virus that affected the leg's and or the lungs. Register for the draft like everyone else. Didn't give a $hit about school there were 6 Steel mill's in the neighborhood, didn't even have to know how to read. Lazy at math. Got in a career where it was math all day everyday and 90% ladders or climbing.:lmao: outside for the most part. 🍺🍺🇺🇸  Loved it 😊

Actually drove a M-48 at Ft. Knox. M-60A1 - M60A3's. M551 Sheridans when I was in the Calvary. Germany was all M60s and we did start the training to transition to the M1. I left Germany at the beginning of 82. Yeah, I'm what they call a dinosaur tanker. :laffs:

You and Blue can commiserate on the Sheridan. When I lived in Florida I met a retired army guy who was involved in the initial trials on the M-1. My father was a production line engineer on the Bradley back in 1977.

A good read, and it sounds like a good man.

I worked an Armed Forces Police unit in Olongapo City, PI, back in the late '60s. My best friend was a Marine sergeant named Joe (won't mention his last name) who came in one day, looking shook as hell. Asked what was up, he said he'd wanted a .45 auto, so he mailed it home, one part at a time, once per week. When he mailed the last part home, a week later he got a package in the mail. Opened it up and there was the .45, fully assembled, and with a note that said "Don't try it again." signed "ONI." He was a good grunt, so I guess they wanted to give him a break. Glad they did.
