Quentin Defense 308 lower receiver #0018

Magpul MOE OD handguard,pistol,buttstock

Brownell 308 delta kit

Brownell 308 barrel nut

Brownell 308 charging handle

Brownell 308 barrel extension

SAA BCG

SAA Upper Receiver

UTG High Profile 1" scope rings

Barska 10-40 x 50mm scope

Magpul LR20 PMAG (modified to hold 11 270wsm rounds)

270 wsm chambered barrel at my gunsmith

Got my 27 cal barrel blank today. Its 1.25" X24" 1:11 twist 41V50 steel. Should have it done by summer. Now the weak link to this build will be the bolt.

Wondering if I could just some Titanium shaving/scraps to remelt into a cast bar for that custom bolt.

Another update:

The 270WSM barrel threads are cut for the barrel extention and a roughed in barrel profile is done. Also the 300WSM barrel is in about the same condition and it is 21" long and about 3 1/2 lbs.

Update,

Upper receiver modified for the wsm cases to eject properly. The extracture needs to be modified again at the bolt head.

Sorry no pics of the mock up, tore it apart too quick. May have it ready to shoot in a couple of weeks.

Second barrel done ! Installed on the upper/lower, handrail on and gas block in placed. Pics to follow.

This is the project gun which is on my back burner. Its been finished for over two years but only shot a few times. I still need to change the buffer to a heavy buffer and possibly go to a stronger buffer spring. It shoots balls on dead accurate but the stovepipes take all the fun out of shooting it.

I'll have to weigh it...estimated 11 pounds.

NO it does not function I must add more weight to BCG or Buffer to slow it down !

Going to try a heavyset buffer first then bolt carrier weights next. I have an extra Armalite spring to throw in when I change the buffer.

Adj. Gas Block ?

I don't want to do that. Really need to dial it in with standard type parts. Gas port hole is about the right size. When it does eject it throws the brass at 3 o'clock.
