Well written letter, congrats to Mr. Nugent for some thoughtful, logical and responsible ideas that are a dang good start, but that won't go anywhere.

But he knows that.

This is about power, and removing same from citizens transferring it to a large central authority. This is going to be a long 4 years my friends. We can hold back the tide by screaming at our reps in the house, and rolling over the majority in the senate in '14, but it is going to be a long, expensive difficult task....just to get this stuff stopped.

To turn the ship of state away from socialism is going to take a couple of generations.

I think Ted's letter is genius.

Think about it.  Biden is in charge of all this poop, and his "experience" on the subject is literally unknown.  Here is a very well know, well publicized, and pretty well respected authority on the subject of the 2nd Amendment, and personal firearms ownership/rights, just offering his support.

If Ted receives NO reply from Biden, then it's an established fact that Biden has ignored a subject matter expert's assistance on the affair, ignored that offer for assistance, and decided to wing it on his own...  Ted is smart, especially in publicizing the fact that the letter was sent, and what it constitutes.  <thumbsup>

Yeah.

Back when I was working home health care, got to watch a LOT of cable.  There was some BS program on MTV about "A day in the life" of common folks around the country.  Ted harrangued, cajoled, and criticized until they did a segment on him hunting and shooting.  The anchors/staff were NOT happy but they did give Ted a segment.

The show was pulled not long after that.

They don't have to listen to anyone nor has their past performance showed they will.

IF they did pay attention to facts, others input, history, etc., Biden would stand up and say "We need to train every able bodied adult in the use of 'assault weapons', and basic hand-to-hand combat!  This is the greatest country on Earth!"

Anyone want to give me odds on him NOT saying that?
