DNP Posted January 29, 2013 Report Posted January 29, 2013 Can't they just keep some of em they will be taking from us in a few weeks?
NoFail Posted January 29, 2013 Report Posted January 29, 2013 Can't they just keep some of em they will be taking from us in a few weeks? That is the spent bullets they be collecting.
DNP Posted January 29, 2013 Report Posted January 29, 2013 I'd like to believe that would be the case, but I know my chances against a trained team of house raiders....not very good. On top of that, I'm guessing you'll never see it coming. They'll blow the door at 3am while you're asleep and you'll be staring down a handful of barrels. After they drag your ass out of bed you will likely be detained in the back of a cruiser while they ransack your house and demo your gun safe. We are after all nothing more than gun owning criminals once they get their laws through.
Rsquared Posted January 29, 2013 Report Posted January 29, 2013 Ain't that the truth. The old "take it from my cold dead hand" doesn't apply, when your house is gettin stormed by the strike teams in the middle of the night. Moreover, by the time any LEO (that goes along with idea) knocks on your door.....it's too late. What are you gonna do? Say wait a minute and let me run to my gun cabinet? Even then.....who the fcuk wants to get in a firefight with the LEO's (plural cause they wouldn't come alone)? Instant felony......if not death. You lose either way.Now I'm not saying to bow down to the world. But that's why we have to be organized now.....before it ever comes to anything like that. And keep pressing our worthless elected politicians to NOT take our Constitutional Rights from us. Because after the 2nd......the rest will start falling off one by one.Enough soapbox........sorta got a burr under the saddle.
planeflyer21 Posted January 29, 2013 Author Report Posted January 29, 2013 I don't think most gun owners are going to sleep through while teams go door-to-door confiscating guns. The big thing we are lacking now is organizational meetings. When The Shot Heard 'Round The World was fired (Tom has better details), the militia vacated town and watched while the British went around setting the town buildings on fire. One person finally got the militia riled up enough to go down and fight. They are only going to get a few raids in before word starts spreading like wildfire! At that point they may as well hang targets on their heads. And that is without any current organization.Jon
DNP Posted January 29, 2013 Report Posted January 29, 2013 That's the good news, they can't hit everyone at once. After the first run of confiscation it's game over for them. Though, in a quick move to quiet the spread of the attack, expect to see telephones not work and the Internet be down. Once they start raiding houses it will be time to head for the hills....it's just going to take a little work to get the word out. I wouldn't even trust radios to not be jammed. If you do operate a radio, it's going to have to be on frequencies out of the normal band and even with that they will be monitored and jammed faster than Feinstein can chew the head off a kitten. Communication is going to be tough which is hard to imagine for us in the digital age...I only use my phone for this forum 99% of the time. So there is the other clue, when the phones and computers go down...load up and head for the bunker.

Also, they cant jam your radios without jamming theirs. just look up the military frequency ranges and use channels in that region. It really helps being trained in how the military operates and its equipment works. Since my job was finding IEDs, I learned a lot of nice tricks and skills.

Radios are still a good option, CBs, as many people nowadays aren't even aware of their existence. Certain times, turn them on, get the message out, shut them off.Shortwave is even better. Hundreds or thousands of people can have receiver-only units.Time to brush up on your semaphore skills, I think even the Navy stopped using it so no one in the military or police will know what that idiot waving the flags around is doing! Don't forget signal mirrors. Semaphore is good too. A message can be left in a certain place in plain sight. The older Boy Scout Handbooks have smoke signals also.Jon

DNP Posted January 30, 2013 Report Posted January 30, 2013 Yeah, Tom. None of us here would doubt you do anything unarmed. Do you where the holster in the shower, or do you have a special AR with luffa on the gas block?
imschur Posted January 30, 2013 Report Posted January 30, 2013 Maybe Tom's like me. So out of storage space that you cant help having something in reach at all times. My BHP is right by my bed wrapped in a silicone cloth <laughs>
