Microgunner
You know those troopers just live for days like this. A little harmless excitment. Knock the dust off the boredom.

Robocop1051
Tasers are pointless. They never work when you need them to the most. They work too well when you need them the least. I used one ONCE on a guy all whacked out on meth. It worked just like it was supposed to there. At the beginning of this year, we had a guy (I wasn't there for this one) holding a knife to his throat. They hit him 6 or 7 times with tasers. No effect!!! They also shot him three times with 12g bean bags with no effect. Five officer and several residents watched in horror as this psycho dragged a butcher knife across his own throat. I saw the body at the hospital. The wound was a clean cut through his left jugular, carotid and through his trachea. He was DOA. Thy used to be used as "compliance tools" now they can only be used (in California) if you fear for your life.... Fuck that! That's why I carry a gun!!! No thanks, keep the taser and keep the pepper spray too. I have my pistol and my baton. They worked just fine for the last 100 years, they'll be fine for me too. planeflyer21
Unfortunately that is a recurring issue with lots of "less lethal" solutions. Worthless on some, lethal on others. Tucson PD had some issues a decade or more ago with pepper spray killing at least one suspect. If they're a threat to your life you should be to theirs. Matt.Cross
Some people just have a higher tolerance or higher resistance to voltage. I've leaned into 480 volt 3-phase leads a couple of times on AC units and been able to pull off it. It hurt like crap, but 110 in comparison just feels like sticking your tongue in a 9 volt battery. Don't know how many amps I was pulling, couldn't work up the nerve to do it again with the multimeter in the circuit.... :binkybaby:

Matt.Cross
Probably a wise decision! Trust me, it was an easy one to make... That crap hurts in a way that defies description.
Rsquared
Been hit with 277/480 before. Not a fun experience. Kinda makes you wanna sit down and collect yourself for a few minutes. That's when you can feel every joint in your body....mainly because they all ache for a few minutes. Plus....the coppery taste in your mouth. NOT a good feeling. I was tightening some lugs on a rack last fall when my screw driver slipped I blew two legs of the 460 out at the fuse block, I'm not really sure what a flash bang is like in person but I can imagine it was mighty close to this
