You could've also broken down the rifle into two halves, then squirt a big shot of BreakFree or FireClean into the bolt from underneath. It should loosen up whatever carbon is freezing things up within a few minutes. For the future, take a look at the Mecharmor Defense "TacOps-1" ambi charging handle. It's a really solid handle that can take a beating. I had a bad reload stuck in my chamber and was able to dislodge it by pounding the stock downward (mortar style) and hitting the charging handle at the same time. It is going to be from now on. It had only sat for a week or so after letting a friends 13 yr old try it. 5shots. I thougut it was pretty wet but it will be they wet from now on.
