Robocop1051 Posted March 25, 2014 Report Posted March 25, 2014 Who's proud of theirs? Wife bought me a new one for my birthday. I love her more and more. Emerson CQC-15
unforgiven Posted March 25, 2014 Report Posted March 25, 2014 Just got this Houge extream.7" fixed blade scabbard doesn't come out so good but it is also rugged.Made in the U.S.A..
planeflyer21 Posted March 25, 2014 Report Posted March 25, 2014 Love that blade, Rene! One-word description: STOUT Here's my EDC, matched pair, left clip moved for left-hand use. 4" blades, non-assisted opening…qualifies as a "pocket knife" under AZ law, since they repealed the length requirement.
blue109 Posted March 25, 2014 Report Posted March 25, 2014 I'm really looking hard at the SOG forge. Something about it calls to me.
unforgiven Posted March 25, 2014 Report Posted March 25, 2014 Hey brother Mike got that on DVOR,thanks for the hook up. <thumbsup>
blue109 Posted March 25, 2014 Report Posted March 25, 2014 Nice :) they have had some killer knife deals lately. I've heard nothing but good about Hogue knives.
Toolndie7 Posted March 26, 2014 Report Posted March 26, 2014 Who's proud of theirs? Wife bought me a new one for my birthday. I love her more and more. Emerson CQC-15 Damn your spoiled. Had to justify my first emerson purchase to my wife. She still says its scary looking. Makes me want another emerson. stock pic
Robocop1051 Posted March 26, 2014 Author Report Posted March 26, 2014 I have a couple throw down knives. Most of them Cold Steel or Spyderco. I buy my wife Kershaw because she likes assisted blades. But the Emerson series are the only knives I'll carry. I owned the Commander in the past and someone stole it. It literally took me 12 years to replace it... thanks to my beautiful wife.
Toolndie7 Posted March 26, 2014 Report Posted March 26, 2014 I really like the emerson "wave" feature. makes deployment smooth and fast process
blue109 Posted April 2, 2014 Report Posted April 2, 2014 (edited) my little ZT566. not quite baller status, but I love it. Edited April 2, 2014 by blue109
blue109 Posted May 10, 2014 Report Posted May 10, 2014 this thing is gorgeous. pics just don't capture it. straight razor sharp as well.
blue109 Posted May 10, 2014 Report Posted May 10, 2014 SOG forge. FG01-L. it has a hard VG10 core, sandwiched between softer stainless. nice tough and corrosion resistant, while keeping the super hard center for edge retention. I've been lusting over this thing and finally sniffed out a deal on one. STUPID deal I might add. damn knives. I already know what I want next and will be selling that P22 I rebuilt to pay for it. stay tuned ;)
sketch Posted May 10, 2014 Report Posted May 10, 2014 You are eager to wear the badge of blade pusher hmmm ? I was just talking about buying a high end cleaver for cooking with the GF a knife can make food sexy!! Was that weird? ;)
blue109 Posted May 10, 2014 Report Posted May 10, 2014 ha! I don't have the resources to be an anything pusher...but as hunter always said, " if a things worth doing, it's worth doing right" ironically enough, my other browser window is open to a site where I'm getting all learned up on kitchen knives! here's my little work horse. Kershaw JYD. cool composite blade. the edge is hard D2 tool steel welded to tough maintenance free stainless.
sketch Posted May 10, 2014 Report Posted May 10, 2014 Can I get a second for ( enabler/blade pusher) you have what I'm thinking I need bro!! The vote is out!?
shibiwan Posted June 4, 2014 Report Posted June 4, 2014 (edited) Here's what I got this week to start off my collection. CRKT M16-14D KA-Bar 8" Tanto FYI - I was "enabled" by Blue. Edited June 4, 2014 by shibiwan

gnatshooter Posted June 4, 2014 Report Posted June 4, 2014 I have a K-Bar with serrations at the hilt, and when they go dull, it's a real PITA to sharpen them up. You don't want to discover those serrations are bad when you're field-dressing a deer.
shibiwan Posted June 4, 2014 Report Posted June 4, 2014 (edited) The serrations on the KA-Bar a a little odd. Instead of the triple-point serrations, the "points" are rounded and look more like a "triple bump" instead. No other complaints about it though. Edited June 4, 2014 by shibiwan
shibiwan Posted June 4, 2014 Report Posted June 4, 2014 F*king around with the new CRKT cutting up labeller cartridges. Blade already nicked from a tiny internal spring in the cartridge. <lmao> <laughs>
