gnatshooter
As usual, there is an attempt to implicate an "assault rifle", and confusion about what type of gun was really involved. Gunman injures 6 at FedEx facility, kills self - Inland News Today - April 29, 2014http://www.inlandnewstoday.com/story.php?s=33184 "A package handler decked out "Rambo-style," with an assault rifle and bullets strapped to his chest, opened fire on fellow employees at a FedEx facility in suburban Atlanta early Tuesday, wounding six people, three critically, before killing himself." "Michael Nitzken, a physician at Wellstar Kennestone hospital, told reporters that... all the victims' wounds were consistent with shotgun blasts." gnatshooter
The news on this continues, and the journalists don't seem to notice that a rifle is not a shotgun. Or maybe they figure that an assault rifle typically makes shotgun-type wounds. Who knows what thoughts fester in the squalid minds of libtard journalists? Father of FedEx shooter: ‘We’re dealing with our own loss’ - WSB Radio - April 29, 2014http://www.wsbradio.com/news/news/crime-law/three-of-six-fedex-workplace-shooting-in-critical-/nfkXr/ “I looked to my left, I saw him standing there and the knife was on the ground,” Aiken said. “He dropped his knife. He had an assault rifle." "Two victims underwent surgery for life-threatening injuries at WellStar Kennestone Hospital. DNP
Even the Clinton News Network has the right story. http://www.cnn.com/2014/04/29/justice/georgia-fedex/ "Authorities identified 19-year-old Geddy L. Kramer of Acworth as the shooter. His body was found near a shotgun, Pierce said. "That was the only weapon that he had at that time," Pierce said." gnatshooter
This shoot-up is not getting much news coverage. Could it be because there's no 'assault' rifle involved?
shibiwan
It's not exciting enough without the assault rifle, high capacity mag, and massive carnage. Edited May 1, 2014 by shibiwan
98Z5V
Same thing happened last year - in a school. Less than a month after Sandy Hook, a kid went into a high school in Taft, CA, with a shotgun. Not many injuries. That fell out of the news quickly. How many here forgot about that one already?
gnatshooter
Even the Naval Yard shooting didn't get much play. A shotgun there, too. And a pistol lifted off a guard.

98Z5V
...not to forget the North Hollywood shootout.... Search out "44 Minutes" online - you can pull the whole movie as a download. Best production piece out there on the North Hollywood Shootout. Pretty damn good, good actors. Movie didn't get much play, but it should have. planeflyer21
Watched that NHS live. Got back from the ranch with the old lady, started channel flipping and WHOA!
392heminut
Yup, I watched it live too, just happened to be off duty that day. That shootout was a wake up call to law enforcement. nowadays a handgun and an 870 in an electrolock in the cruiser just don't cut it. A patrol rifle with training and proficiency is a lot more of an asset than the liability a lot of chiefs think they are.
planeflyer21
One of my instructors was invited to a party in Marana, suspect in a cotton field shooting with a rifle. Rifle was a .30-06, officers had their .40s and one shotgun with buckshot. One of the officers hit the suspect at 110 yards with his .40 pistol. After that, my friend started carrying slugs in his shotgun. Same dept was just out doing annual quals. 25 officers. On "patrol carbine" (M4-geries), 3 qualified on the first try. Dude copped an attitude when I said "You know, we do after work tutoring if any of your officers are interested."

392heminut
I lay a whole schitload of the blame right square on the media's shoulders for the stuff these deranged little fuksticks are cooking up these days. How many kids had ever even heard of a pressure cooker bomb before the Boston incident? Now just about every kid in the country knows what one is, and how to find out how to make one. Hell, I think the media is more to blame than even video games!
gnatshooter
I lay a whole schitload of the blame right square on the media's shoulders Yeah there's a lesson there -- if you want to make headlines, get a black rifle. Equivalent firepower will put you on page 5. Maybe. Ever notice nobody does shoot-ups with FDE-colored rifles? Maybe there should be a law. >:D Heck, and when's the last time someone shot up a place with a camo gun? I see some real opportunity for law-making here. <munch>
