This kid was so messed up in the head. He posted a video to youtube, that they have since removed, that states what he planned and why. I'm shocked that no one realized how demented he really was.

Too bad California gun laws are so restrictive concerning open and concealed carry... I'm just saying that in more gun friendly states, there could have been someone to stop him before he hit 10 locations.

His Dad actually reported him several times for suicidal YouTube videos. I watched his last video. It went in great detail about his intention to kill a bunch of sorority girls... His reason... HE WAS A 22 YEAR OLD VIRGIN!!! Honest to God, that was his reason. He states several times that he was lonely and felt rejected by women. He held sorority girls responsible for his failure to score. The video was so bad and corny, I would've mistaken it as a joke. Now it's just creepy serial killer weird.

If you read the report: 3 were stabbed to death in his apartment, possibly 2 more were run over on their bicycles. That makes only two deaths (maybe 4 if the bicyclists lived) by guns.... and whatever injuries came from shooting.

They knew the shooter was nutso before he did this, and did nothing. Stuff like this happens out of concern for the civil rights of nutso people. You can't really lock people up without first proving a case against them. You prove they're so nuts that they can't take care of themselves, and then you can lock them up like a criminal. Or you prove they're a criminal and lock them up like a criminal.

Our legal system will have to change quite a bit before we can start treating a nutso creep like a murderer, before he commits a murder. That would be like depriving someone of the right to keep and bear arms, before they do something bad with a firearm -- and without them even being nuts. Hm.

Apparently nutso creeps who fantasize about murders have more civil rights than normal people who want to keep and bear. That's kinda upside-down.

I predict that legislation is going nowhere. What do they propose to do with the knife wielding issue? Those things are dangerous.

I hate that this happened, of course any sane person does, but it is this untreated mental illness that nobody wanted to address. As stated before, neither the criminal justice nor the healthcare system is set up to deal with mentally ill people....catch and release...

I guess people are still butthurt over how "One Flew Over The Cookoo's Nest" made them feel about involuntary treatment.
