  1. Welcome to the forum. There are plenty of threads that detail the differences in receiver extension (buffer tube) depth and the appropriate buffer and spring. An approximate depth is not good enough for these rifles. A rifle length receiver extension (RE) is the same across all platforms - AR15, AR10, LR308. An Armalite AR10 carbine RE will be 7 5/8 inches deep, not more or less. A DPMS pattern carbine RE will be 7 inches deep just like an AR15, again not more or less. The buffers and springs are also not interchangeable. Here is a great reference chart for that. If you are still having an issue with your rifle, you might be better served by starting a new thread with your details.
  2. I sorry to hear that.
  3. It is a hard thing to watch. My MIL went all the way to the end of Alzheimer's. Thankfully she did not have personality changes. I am sorry for the loss that both you and her will experience.
  4. How many of those do you have? I'm sure you have some in your arsenal.
  5. Jacob is a great guy and makes a great sling.
  6. There are several other videos just like it if you want to see them. I think it is like handing a large caliber pistol to a small person with no firearms experience. It is not going to end well for the one getting filmed, but someone will be laughing at them.
  7. Welcome from Texas!

    Rain

I can't see how there is any rain left with what it dumps on us on the way through. We had another 2 inches today.
  9. Air bag explosions are not a small thing.
  10. It works great. We will need to test the capacity of the tanks. The ones we had rented lasted about 3 days of not overly careful use. The FJ will pull it but I'm not sure we want to pull it across country like that. The FJ used 12.6 gallons of gas to go 118 miles and that was fairly flat roads going 60 mph max. It only holds about 18 gallons. I'm not sure we would always make it between gas stations on I-10.

I have not seen helicopter hunting in action with full or semi auto.

That was the first animal my wife thought it was ok for me to shoot. (I don't hunt.) She has expanded to wild hogs.
  14. Looks like a blast!

Here is my next week's weather forecast.
  16. Looks great!
  17. My wife said she was done with tents at 50. That is why we have rented a trailer for the last 2 fall shoots.
  18. Lol Thankfully, we have enough space in the house if that ever happened. But it would be a comfy place to go.
  19. Here is the maiden voyage of the mobile castle. We just went to an RV park at a lake about an hour away and only stayed one night. It was an easy set up and everything worked well as far as I could tell.
  20. One more
  21. I just saw this one on TV.
  22. The fall shoot in Arizona? I'll be glad to meet you.
  23. You are awe-inspiring. I bitch when my new shoes cause a blister.
  24. There are plenty of people who have PA10s that run. Some of them take some fixing to get them to that point though.
