  1. That is great left hand experience @Sisco. @TPO listen this man. He knows his stuff. Where about in Texas are you? I am south of DFW a little bit.
  2. There are times that family matters take precedence over the rest of life. Your mind and, consequently, your body are rightfully distracted from the hunt. You will have other opportunities to do the hunt you love. Spend the time you can with your mom and stepdad.
  3. Welcome to the forum. The most important question for you to answer before any info can given... What lower do you have? There are many manufacturers that do not work together either because they are a different pattern (DPMS vs. Armalite vs. RRA) or they have proprietary parts that make them difficult to fit with other manufacturers.
  4. My wife said he should have the Evil Spock goatee.
  5. Diamondback does have the slant cut. They changed the TPI as of the first of 2021 from 16 to 18 on the barrel nut. Their rails give you one barrel nut of each TPI.
  6. Warning! Juvenile humor ahead.
  7. Welcome to the forum. My wife and I will be at SDTF next month. We'll see you then.
  8. That is great to hear! I'm glad it is working well. Thanks for coming back to update. Now it's time to start on the next build.
  9. I would urge caution about Rossi lever guns. They are not necessarily bad. It is hard to find parts. My brother has one that a screw holding the lever broke. It took me weeks of looking before I found one online. I had to email the guy and ask since he was "The Rossi Guy."
  10. If he wants it for plinking, range shooting and occasional light hunting, he should swap it for a more common and cheaper caliber. If granddad was a nice granddad, he would buy him a complete upper in 223 for Christmas. That way he could have both. https://www.bearcreekarsenal.com/ar-15/ar-15-complete-upper-assembly.html
  11. That's gorgeous Larry. I wish you would be at home when we drive through town next month. But I think you will be away for your ride. I would love to see it in person.
  12. Is that one that @sketch hadn't cleaned in a while?
  13. He may be poking him in a hemorrhoid. That's what would be in that place.
  14. @sketch, glad you came out relatively unscathed. You didn't need to put a thumb in it. You're about to make me get my guns out to clean them.
  15. It turned out great.
  16. Welcome to the forum
  17. Tattletail . He would have found it on his own. @Lonewolf McQuadefound out the peeing sitting down comment and I posted that months before he could see it.
  18. He'll find that comment in short order.
  19. Did you send her to AZ? I'm sure Tom would have found her.
  20. Get your spare parts kit and you'll be fine, even if you are 240.
  21. @Belt Fed, you can now get a parts kit for yourself and live forever. You are kind of expensive though.
  22. I am exposed to a couple dozen different people every day. I get exposed to small amounts of everything over a period of time.
  23. Awesome news! Thank you for the update.
