Well, in further attempt to derail...we have a house there now. My folks bought a place for him to stay while he finishes school...ever need a spot to crash on your way through, or just feel like hanging out with the radio on...call me.

Got a Nephew in Lincoln who will soon be up for shooting. I just built his AR-15 before he headed back for school a couple weeks ago. Gun is still here, but his grandfather is going to drive it out to him. He gets into it, we will have to drag him online.

Good news is, no oven needed. Paint them in the kitchen where you can get the air temp within range....then hang on the patio.

Well Doc, don't start any fires....and hopefully you won't be making any hard boiled eggs on your visit. Sounds like that would be a pain in the rear. DO try the brownies for us though, and report back. I haven't been out that way, so I have no suggestions. A lot of these mentioned sound pretty good though. I can't wait to get out on the road with the family someday.

I almost posted this same question recently. My dad wants to go in 50/50 with me on picking up a smoker. One of the guys at his work has been using a propane smoker for a while and gets some pretty good result, so that's the way my dad was leaning. I'm not convinced, but would love to hear what the 308 expert meat gurus think as well. Thanks Larry!
