Now your back to ammo you can't readily get again . One other thing you may consider , that ammo was made for specific rifles , it may not perform up to those standards in your rifle , not that it will shoot lousy . but you never know how it will perform .

Magwa , its about time you got into hand loading . You can make any of this fodder with better bullets for hunting , in the same Bullet weight, with the same results as the MIlSpec's posted above . I have no problem even getting SD ( standard deviation ) into the single digits . Though their guarantee of 15 fps SD is pretty good for factory ammo . Match Bullets will not expand well in all conditions for clean harvest of game animals . No doubt they will put a hurt on them , but not the best choice , do not compare killing a Human to a large game animal .

You can manually cycle the Charging Handle & not extract the Cartridge already in the Chamber ? That's odd . Not sure about the Armalite Mag's in the Matrix Receivers , but I believe they should lock back the BCG on last round fired , its a good test to see if the BCG is coming back far enough to completely reset the FCG on firing cycle .Try a different brand Mag. , if you can , I have no experience with Armalite products , so someone who has a Matrix set can speak up on what mags to use , but pretty sure Matrix can use DPMS /SR25 type mags . One other thing you can look into is the Safety , even though you changed it , it still may have tolerance stacking issue with the Matrix Receiver . Try a Different Mag & see if it passes the lock back check & we can discuss the Safety further if need be .

I really don't care for these force feed mag loaders . They are fast , I'll give them that .

If your thinking of a 16" barrel for this , your on the right track , 16" , Rifle length Gas system , muzzle break & I believe a Rifle stock would work for less felt recoil , the Magpul MOE rifle stock is a winner & very comfortable , but nothing wrong with their Collapsible products , just depends on fitment . Of course it couldn't be the Gas Block was off a bit ! Mistakes can be made with any product , but I Measure Gas Ports to align ALL my Gas Blocks .
