  1. Not sure the AR-10A would fit his lower Receiver correctly . <dontknow>
  2. Whats with the Damaged components ?
  3. I hope , "more to come" , will have more in it then his first post . <laughs>
  4. Soooo what if you put the bare receiver extension tube against your shoulder & fire it , same interpretation ? <dontknow> Your on a roll , 98 <thumbsup>
  5. There are some very good people working for them , its the bone heads running the show . That was funny . Pizza , great idea , bad for the unsuspecting deliver guy . <dontknow>
  6. How about some photo's with this good info <thumbsup>
  7. . I just read that the DPMS GII has a 38 coil spring in the SASS . Its a little longer , not sure what you have , at this point .
  8. You definitely put it all together , good shooting .
  9. I couldn't get last the first page , not sure if its my Mac or it just didn't open up correctly . I'll try again later .
  10. What's really good about those games , there were no Fuk'ed up calls by the Officiating team .
  11. This is my DPMS Carbine spring & the long one is a Superior Spring ( Tubb's ) I think you have the wrong spring also, count the coils & look at the length .
  12. The Caution Tape around you two , say's it all . <thumbsup>
  13. Your Welcome ! <laughs>
  14. What Buffer & spring do you have installed ? Yes, the catch catches the bolt face .
  15. Have you tried function with Standard 308 rifle spring & Buffer ?
  16. Thanks for the update , good to hear it was an easy fix . I always make sure the Barrel Flange is seated up against the Upper Receiver , before I put any nut on . I have had a bunch of tight fitments with Barrel To Upper receiver fit, its the way I like them all to seat .
  17. My 56 had no front brake & I can not tell you how many times I had to lay her down to avoid a collision . Man , using the drum brakes on this one , compared to the disc brakes on my other bikes , is eye opening .
  18. My first Harley was a 56 with 12" over front end & I know what your talking about . <lmao>
  19. I'm due to renew next month & will . With out the NRA , I think we already would have been Second Amendment-less.,You don't hear them talking about any of the other pro gun groups on the House or Senate or the Media , that means something . <dontknow>
  20. I unwrapped her a couple of weeks ago, hasn't been driven in over four years, pulled the Carb to clean it , changed the oil & new fuel , took about ten kicks to start her including the primer kicks. Took her for a ride in the hood , I have to tag up , to go any where else. Needs a Bath & Chrome polishing , now there's a job ! <laughs> 1948 FL Panhead Motor ( first year ) 1958 Swing ARM Frame ( first year )
  21. Here is my NIB Shadow Ops Weaponry BCG next to my DPMS Chrome /Phosphate Bolt, of course the NIB is the bottom one & at this photo , was new never been fired.
  22. You can remove the Barrel & use the Bolt to check head space, that will eliminate one thing . The Bolt Carrier may be out of spec's or the Upper Receiver , hard to say , How about some Photo's . Did you try more Lubricant on BCG ? Maybe even a small amount of Synthetic Grease on all the contact points . I use Gun Slick grease , but any old grease may help for break in , just don't go crazy with it & try to keep it out of the Chamber . A little dab on the back of the bolt locking lugs also may help . I do not recommend the use of a Mallet , but if the Cam Pin Channel or Cam pin itself has Burr's or some other machining imperfections , it can cause some problems .
  23. Why not take care of the reliability issue with the DPMS or do you just want a different Upper assembly ?
  24. Any coated BCG , Nickel Boron ,will be tight & some get freaked about it . I'm not sure how the Nitrated BCG run , but shouldn't have the same issue because there is no coating one that type of finish. I have read on actual DPMS BCG's having quality control issues , as in bad Ejector/spring or Extractor/ spring or their keeper pins . I have two DPMS BCG's & one Shadow ops Weaponry BCG & they all work fine . The Shadow Ops. Bolt ( NIB ) was a little tight at first ,as with the " GO " Gage , but after some rounds through the rifle , Head Space was fine .
