  1. Glad to hear you are better Mac! I thought Hemi looked a little bald.
  2. Awesome! Hook, line, sinker! That works well. The other method is to have the shooter hold their arms out, hands together and palms out forming a larger diamond hole between the two. With both eyes open, have them move their hands slowly to their face. The hole should end up in front of the dominant eye. IMO this method isn't as effective as the eye-close/focus-shift method.
  3. I see what you did there! Especially with those two-tone laminated stocks.
  4. Biggest issue will probably be not enough ammo.
  5. C'mon...look who we're talking about here. Obviously it was Go Daddy!
  6. Telescoping car antennas made the BEST swords!
  7. Awesome! Those Rascals are IMO the best bang for the buck in youth .22 rifles. Red dots are easy. Start him on the irons.

    Deer Season

    Beautiful deer Hoff!
  9. So much of bullet advertising is hype hype hype. The crowd over on Marlin Owners drops all kinds of stuff with lead round nose and get DRT (dead right there) results. Like in real estate, location location location.
  10. They're holding a Saturday Workshop on "Hanging sheets on the 2nd story from your yard."
  11. Peaked youth in the '70s. That means enginieering Evel Kneivel-esque ramps from cinderblocks and left over plywood, for jumping bikes in the alley. After awhile you learn to build them to the side, so the garbage trucks can still pass by. Love it when you're first getting started on jumping from ramps, then the guys on the garbage truck stop and the guy on the back hops off, comes over, and says "Mira...you need to put a couple of blocks in here to support the middle of the ramp, like this," as he's stuffing a couple of bricks under the weak unsupported part of the board. Pointing at the kid who's turn it is to jump, then to the ramp, "Now go!", the jumper's altitude and distance greatly increased over previous jumps, shocked kids' faces all around, as all the garbage men get a belly laugh and are on their way...

    KnewB

I agree. The people that made the upper MORE than deserve to have their name in lights. My student who had the issues with Hogan's triple cost POS should have sued them, after the multiple factory returns and Hogan's laying blame on everything from the ammo to the owner's ability to shoot/clean/over clean/hold a rifle/etc.
  13. Oh shite...here we thought he had a CNC setup and it's really a treadle powered lathe with a file!
  14. Beretta has become a sort of "Freedom Group" of Europe. Except that they are a gun family, who kicks azz and will continue to improve products, rather than pinching every penny from production and quality control, then pinching a few more from customer service like Freedom Group. Okay. They're absolutely nothing like Freedom Group...who needs it IN THE NECK!!
  15. I could watch that all morning!
  16. Welcome from AZ! +1 on the Quentin Defense set!
  17. +1 Even though I am a NRA Certified Rifle Shooting Instructor, I recommend most people that already own a rifle take an Appleseed shooting clinic. Two very solid days on marksmanship and history. The NRA course covers rifle types, function, types of sights and optics, how they work, ammunition and its function and construction, types of bullets, AND marksmanship. The course is very compressed. You will learn how to hit a target but it isn't two days on the range, putting lead downrange.

    Savage 110

It's a trap! Don't do it! You'll find yourself with a lefty model.
  19. Nice! It's been awhile since I owned a S&W. Let's see how this pans out. Edit: Not counting my Grandfather's 5-shot Police Special.
  20. Welcome from AZ!
  21. Just that still right there...yikes! That would fit someone's "Crazy Chick" bill!
  22. I bought the Weaver that seems to be identical to the GG&G, on clearance at Sportsman's for $100...half price! I love that bipod.
  23. I don't know. I do know however how we broke sharp edges on things like 17-4 valve castings, after the machining process. We used a pencil die grinder with either a Cratex bit or (most preferred) a 1/8" shank flame burr, double cut. It would be best to conduct this operation prior to mounting the barrel extension in the rifle.
  24. A little bit.
