Glad you were able to pick it up with all the stuff going on. I have a Blackhawk with both cylinders. Sometimes I shoot acp but not often. We used to drill out the primer pocket a bit, prime then press the case down into a block of paraffin. Marked the case heads so they stayed out if the reloading brass. Put a towel in a cardboard box and shoot. Remelt paraffin and use again next time.

My dogs won't even eat that stuff. Brought home an impossible Whopper to see if they would eat it. Nope.

My former boss used to shoot for JP. JP makes quality parts and guns. They are designed to play a game. They are set up to shoot 1 load without failure. A fine tuned race gun is not what I want to pick up if I need a battle rifle to work with whatever ammo I can find at the time. 308 AR's are not like AR's in 223. They are a different animal. I hope you have good luck with your choices in parts. If you do a search for the JP silent recoil system here you will see several cases of the system not doing a good job of functioning. I am running SB3's on both my 308 pistols with the Armalite 308 carbine buffer tubes ,springs,and buffer. If it is a virgin lower and you build it as a pistol then it doesn't matter on the barrel length. Some states DO have overall lengths to be considered a pistol. I also have the tailhook 2 on my 300 blackout pistol. I do like it I just don't want to mess with buffers and springs to move it to one of the 308 pistols.

Don't know about Tn. I do know there were people standing in line at Academy Sports yesterday to buy guns there was NO ammo in the shelves for those new guns. They did have some Hornady Black Grendel on the shelf so I left with 100 rnds. Just odd calibers and small birdshot was all that was left.

I have up to 300 yds when we don't have corn planted. 100 yds when the corn is high.

Welcome from KY. My midlength gas system from PSA used an Ar gas tube and was a little short. Armalite carbine gas tube was the proper length.
