Ok we need more information. Pics would be good too. How long is the barrel etc. I did exactly what you are talking about. I needed to acquire a Armalite carbine 308 gas tube to have the proper length gas tube. A standard 3/4" gas block is what I used. I do not recall if my rail is DPMS hi or low I will check it out when I get home. This was w/the20" barrel upper they sell. I am pretty sure you want a DPMS high rail but I will check in the am.

How long is your firing pin? Is there crud or something in the BCG keeping the firing pin from traveling all the way forward? If the gun did shoot and now doesn't this is the first place I would investigate.

If your going to put something in the primer pocket use a pencil eraser.

WC got the gas port right on my creedmoor barrel. I have the Armalite rifle recoil system on my rifle and it runs fine after we changed the ejector in the bolt. The bolt was not WC though.

Most people put the barrel in a lathe to do that kind of work.

Order one. They will ship it in 2 or 3 weeks. I have never waited more than 2 weeks for a trigger from LaRue.

If you mount it at 3 or 9 O'Clock and sight it in where the bullet strikes about 2" off the laser out to 100 yds you should be good.

Mine is sighted in and ringing steel @275 yds. Chronograph took a $hit on me so I don't know how fast the bullets are doing out of the short tube. My best guess is about 2350 fps. Have to send this thing back to Caldwell or buy a new one.

I use Varget in 223 and 308. If you can find any.

I would bet your gas port is to small and your buffer to light. There are threads that have all the info you need.

Pretty sure the Stoner brand midway is selling is made by Bear Creek Arsenal.

The rifles/pistols I have lasers on are for short range use. As long as the bullet is going to hit within an inch or two I'm happy. No matter where you mount the laser it is only going to hit one point of aim at one distance.

We had li ion batteries on the front of a semi trailer short out and catch on fire Tues. Powered the gps system so they can track the trailer. Burned real good and the heat melted the glue that held it on. It melted the wires to the solar panel on the roof and fell off. It was looking like it was going to be a big fire till it fell off. Ford won't let us take pictures of stuff like that. Damn that sh1t stinks.
