  1. BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! Er.... Sorry, I mean, welcome to the forums. These guys will have you bro... errr... set up with a fantastic rig with that budget in no time flat!
  2. 10-4, affirmative, copy that, roger wilco, and understood. I've been trying to get a shy youngin' from the Carolina Shooters website to come stop in to learn about these large frame ARs we all love so much. Yes, this project may have some cost associated, but the projects themselves won't cost you anywhere near what you'll spend as a result of joining this bunch of enablers, er..... I mean, enthusiasts. Welcome to the forums!
  3. Oh he'll save a fortune. He won't necessarily have anything left in his pockets, but it will all be spent with extreme efficiency.... >:D <laughs> <lmao> Welcome to the forums! P.S. If this is zukimon from CSF, glad you stopped in with us. If not, disregard this.... :)
  4. I used to shoot with the Bennie Cooley brake at the range, and when I'd pick my head up off the rifle at the end of my firing string, there'd be about 8 - 10 guys down the rest of the firing line all glaring at me and putting loose gear back on their benches.... <outtahere>
  5. I know you're going to try to blame it on your muzzle brake, but I know better. That's what you get when you start your day off with too many bean burritos..... <laughs> <lmao>
  6. It never fails to amaze me that our lurkers get to know this crowd and still join..... >:D LOL Welcome to 308AR, we're glad to have you! <thumbsup>
  7. Well now, you gotta get yourself one of them there pickin' tinny rails you read about in them fancy-shmancy shootin' forums that adds in MOAs to yer tellyscopic sights. You kin get heaps more clicks outta them thar knobs when you use them dang ol' picky-tinny rails. The more MOA's they build into 'em, the more clicks ya kin spur.
  8. Right on brother, they have done right by me and will continue to have me as a customer. Everybody's having to deal with the rush of this season.
  9. Done :)
  10. It's not just the Armalite guys either, some of us non "Arm-elites" are kinda fussy about it too, but we have good reason. Armalite is a top-notch sponsor of the site, and we take care of those who take care of us. They are diligent about maintaining their brand's reputation, and we try to be on board with that. <thumbsup>
  11. Definitely not brother, unless you've been warned via PM from an Admin or Moderator, there's no harm done. I shouldn't have assumed that it would be understood as a joke, and that's my fault. You did nothing wrong, and the warning points were a joke in the spirit of that godawful yet hilarious pic you posted. This community is singularly friendly, upbeat, and easygoing. We are extremely proud of how dissimilar we are to most gun forums with respect to the general atmosphere. Let it all hang out brother, you're GTG.
  12. It's more or less a prank, anybody that actually deserved warnings wouldn't likely get them through the profile system.... ;) You're fine brother, it's a joke. <thumbsup>
  13. That's a party foul bubba, why'd you do it? LOL Well, at least Tom isn't the only one sporting warning points now....
  14. I have found a way to contribute that doesn't involve making Aaron mad at me, my Father-in-Law will still be taken care of, so he'll be OK. This auction was a great idea though, and I certainly envy whoever wins it. Thanks for doing this Magwa, this is an amazing kindness.
  15. Is there a deadline on this thing? I may need a really impressive Christmas gift for my Father-in-Law and this would fit the ticket....
  16. You were one of those kids who payed attention in school weren't you? LOL Right on the money my friend, right on the money!
  17. Point #1: Excellent observation! Point #2: There is an excellent reason it didn't, which clues us in to a specific feature of the barrel profile. Question: What is the feature in question, and why did it dictate the manner in which the barrel split? Bonus points to the first person to answer both questions correctly. Go!
  18. Come Friday I will also be throwing in on this, PM me your paypal e-mail there Robo if you don't mind.
  19. If you have or can get pictures of your items, we'd like to see them posted here. We're also happy to assist you with getting them online if you're not sure about how to do that. Thanks, and good luck with your selling! <thumbsup>
  20. Well, I went shooting this evening before it got dark with my cousin and 2nd cousin. My 2nd cousin and I were blazing away at the target and he looks at me and asks if I want to try his pistol. Now I've given the FN 5.7 some serious eyeballing and palm time, but before today I'd never shot one and wasn't sure I wanted one, I've never been a big fan of striker-fired handguns. So I look at him and says "Sure, why not?".... Well, I tell ya that I shouldn't have shot it, because that was by far the best shooting high-powered semi-auto pistol I've ever had the pleasure of firing. Ammo isn't cheap, but every round is worth it, that thing is BEASTLY!
  21. Actually, I did do a little shooting with my cousins today. As a result, a FN 5.7 pistol has joined my list of must haves.....
  22. Happy Thanksgiving everyone. It's fantastic to be part of this community of like-minded people. Ya'll don't eat too much today.... <munch>
  23. Howdy and welcome to the forums from a neighbor to the south!
