  1. Sorry I'm late... Here's my collection of Colt .22lr's These were bought by my late grandfather and passed down through my father. The two in the box are still unfired.
  2. Simple Green
  3. I've been looking at hawks recently. 2hawks site is down at the moment. I want a hawk with a hammer on the back end. I looked at the RMJ hawks, but they're way out of my price range. I read that the CRKT Woods Chogan was designed by Ryan Johnson of RMJ. It has about 99% of what I'm looking for. A Colorado blacksmith is dabbling in hawks and axes now. His company, Dark Timber Knives, is supposedly releasing their first model this summer.
  4. Uh oh.... I feel something... Like a disturbance in the force... I believe that's the sound of the clock starting, as "The Rule" is invoked. May John Browning have mercy on your soul.
  5. I wish I could afford A Turnbull... just one. Lol
  6. There's 4 letters in DEWS
  7. It's only been a month. We've had some true necromancer activity lately that way over shadows this.
  8. I rarely ever torque the barrel nut. It's not like they're going to come loose... most of the time there's a gas tube locking it in place.
  9. Dsg just sent me a shipping invoice......? Either I ordered in my sleep (highly possible), or a "preorder" just got shipped! Stay tuned.
  10. Stand by MG.... I got a .22lr picture I'll take for you.
  11. They call it a CM901 repeatedly... that model is owned by Colt. The Colt CM901 can use both .308 and AR15 uppers.
  12. The main argument for 9mm is still; high capacity and cheaper to practice with. The main argument for the .45 is still; bigger holes We needed 14 "experts" to regurgitate 100 year old arguments.
  13. I'm not throwing stones. I've cleaned my .308 once in 3 years... and it still runs like a champ!
  14. I have a more sickening presumption that whoever drilled the taper pins on this barrel, bottomed out the FSGB without thinking. Now the taper pins are in the wrong spot. A new barrel, sold with a preinstalled A2 style FSGB, should ALWAYS include an installed handguard cup (round or triangle) as well. That's just common sense. Personally... send it back to the company with a polite request to unfuck their mess.
  15. I don't post here often, but I just scored a CASV front sight... nearly impossible to grab one of these. On top of that... I even scored a nice discount (I love DSG's LE/Mil program). They even waived the s&h!!! Best part... last week I was offering people OVER cost to take it off their "for sale" rifles. Glad no one took me up on those offers.
  16. If the gas port is out of spec, this could cause issues with the gas tube later. That fraction of an inch could mean the tube gets smashed in the gas key.
  17. I know these guys are trying to fix your situation and keep your rifle as near as possible to original, but.... You have an 18" carbine length barrel. That should have been a mid length or even a rifle length barrel. Now it is highly likely that your rifle is going to be over gassed. My opinion would be to ditch the FSB and get yourself something adjustable. An adjustable GB will greatly enhance your shooting experience later, and costs a lot less than a heavy buffer system.
  18. I don't even have an extra rifle, and I want to buy this. Damn it.
  19. It looks Great inside. Say goodbye to cleaning after every outing... unless you're R2 who never cleans his guns anyways.
  20. I haven't inspected a Sig piston yet. Not sure if it's long or short stroke, or if it is AA or HK style. Can't wait to hear more.
  21. I wanna see that BCG up close. You should check out the new MechArmor trigger.
  22. Cali, you're in Sacramento right? You need to get your azz to Cardenas Cigars on 16th and V Street. Or get to Old Sac Seegars... in old Sac.
  23. NEVER relight a cigar. The smoke goes stale inside the cigar and ruins the tobacco. Also, for the same reason, you should light with a torch and not a butane. Definitely not a zippo.
