Guys, got a call from Greg asking about the valuation of a piece. It's someone he's working with right now... Here's the gist of it: 1903 COlt .32 ACP, 1927 date of manufacture, fired ONE time. Condition is between 99~100%. Inherited, and history of the firearm is unknown. Is this firearm worth shooting or not shooting? Will shooting it bring the value down? So, info for Greg would be greatly appreciated. I've seen very nice ones going for $1400~$1500 - what do you guys think? For the .22LR, I'm not sure on operations, since it's the 22 - some 22 replicas are weird, with functioning differences that their bigger brothers don't have. On the 1911, you don't have to have your grip safety engaged to pull the hammer back, and I haven't had any issues with grip safety pressure and engagement, when you grip it. Nor grip safety snagging. Not sure on the 22 version, man. <dontknow>

Yep, plus Accurate Mag for US-made versions of the AI mags. Still similarly priced to the AI genuine mags, though. Just as good, every bit. In testing with the Rem 700 DBM setup, I thought I'd be able to run my Ruger GSR poly mags through it - doesn't pick up rounds in the 700. Feed lips are too thick on the GSR poly mags, and it sets the round (and mag) a little too low for the 700 bolt to grab a round. No worries, though - run the GSR poly mags in the GSR, and use the Accurate Mags in the 700. Of note, the Accurate Mag 10-rounder will actually hold 11 rounds in the mag body, and you can still lock it into the 700 DBM on a closed bolt. You can have a chambered round, plus 11 in the mag, for a total of 12 rounds of ammunition in the rifle. No extra tension on the bottom of the bolt with 11 rounds in the mag, and you can still cycle through 12 rounds just fine. <thumbsup>

Saw this little gem last month, but recently noticed that is available now at DSG. Not much info out there about it yet, even on the Geissele website: http://geissele.com/super-gas-block.html It's precision investment cast from 17-4 precipitation hardening stainless steel, which combines superior corrosion resistance with high strength. It is designed to fit under most full length free floating rails, such as the Geissele Super Modular Rail. The bore of the SGB is machined to closely fit around 0.750" diameter mounting bosses found on most M4 carbines, AR-15s and AR-10 type rifles. There are two possible mounting solutions that can be used for fastening the SGB to the rifle barrel. You can get it in the silver stainless version, and you can get it nitrided, also. What's unique about it is: it's a set-screw type, but you can pin it to your barrel at home. No special jigs, no special drill bits - just a 3/16" drill bit and a hand drill. Geissele includes the coil pin to pin it. This will be used on Dawn Marie's 300 BLK build.

Yeah, the upper that matches your lower. No kidding. More often than not, you see issues on the .308 AR platform when you're trying to mix-n-match parts. THAT is when you run into problems with "my gun doesn't run" questions. Get the upper receiver that your lower receiver manufacturer makes. Seriously.

Did it work better with your trigger? That's the biggest question, without any photos necessary, man. Probably a first-heard from them (Battle Arms) considering a fitment problem with the G2S.
