  1. Funny thing is - I don't own a whole Armalite-anything... I think $319 is the MSRP on that beast - that's the price that showed on Armalite's website. My DSG price was $250-ish, or something like that. They give good discounts to Mil/LEO/First Responders. DSG are great people. I've been shopping with those guys for 10 years. My "order history" is pretty fucking scary, when I look at the total $$$...
  2. See my post above this one.
  3. In stock at DSG Arms: https://dsgarms.com/arm10002001 All I did was search the part number, "Armalite 10002001"
  4. Dimensions and weight work - should be fine. Primary Arms is a solid vendor, so if it doesn't work, from them, I'll buy if from you for what you have to pay. That's my PA Money-Back Guarantee.
  5. These .40s are not fucking around - that's alot of force for a blowback pistol-cal AR. You chipped your lower receiver at the top - because something hit it. Something being the back of the gas key? You flatten that buffer bumper so bad that the gas key hit the top of the lower? WTF happened there, bro? I'm absolutely certain that all these .40 PCC manufacturers are just saying "you can run standard AR PCC parts in these!" and that's just not the case. That round - doesn't fuk around.
  6. Wind is a MFer, brother. Anything under 600, it doesn't matter. It starts to matter at 600. At 800 it's tough if it's over 5~7mph. At 1k, it's murder. I can't get a break down here with it, either. Seems everytime I go out recently, it's a variable of 7~11mph, never constant. It pisses you off...
  7. The guy backed out of the purchase... Sucks, the commitment and everything, cash, all that. Bonus - I still have a 375 CheyTac to shoot!...
  8. That figures. Seriously.
  9. They won't have BCG overtravel and hit the lower - but they travel WAY beyond the bolt stop/bolt catch - and break that motherfucker on the last round. Lot of force coming forward, with more distance to travel, before it hits that bolt catch. It's like using a 3.250" buffer in a 7 5/8" extension, on a .308AR - except you're not slamming the ears on your lower. Specific Pistol buffers are 4 1/8" long, and weigh 7 or 8oz - remember, there's not a bolt sticking out of the front of these pistol BCGs - more overtravel before the bolt stop catches it, otherwise. Longer pistol buffers - or $1.75 in quarters stacked in the extension bottom - take up that space that the "no-bolt" leaves. The heavier buffer weight counteracts the force of blowback operation. Here's the Spike's pistol buffer that I stuffed in the AR9 and AR45:
  10. These damn Texans are trying to take over the AZ Guys here. It's crazy! Welcome aboard, man.
  11. That's scary, brother - was she hot?... I mean, before she turned?...
  12. It pisses off EVERYONE IN DC... that's not a biker. It should never, ever end...
  13. In a 7" extension, for a .308AR, that specific KAK buffer and the Sprinco Orange spring will not let you down.
  14. My trigger control sucks tonight...
  15. Triple-tapped this one.
  16. I was there for Rolling Thunder in 2010, brother. We started the run by rolling down one of the airstrips that one of the planes took off from - one of the planes that were taken at 9/11. It was one of the most memorable rides I'll ever go on in my life. I've heard that this year was the last year for it, and that's a tragedy. This run should never stop. https://www.mprnews.org/story/2019/05/27/npr-rolling-to-a-halt-memorial-day-motorcycle-rally-ends-30-year-tradition
  17. Tracking back through this thread, that's a verified 7.000" internal depth extension, Springco Orange spring, and KAK 5.3oz heavy buffer that's 2.500" long. If the BCG didn't lock back - your gas port is too small, or your gas tube is too short. It's one of those. Knowing how PSA ships these guns, it's both. I'd love to see pics of both these buffers, side by side, with a measuring tape next to both of them. You did state that this was a 7.000" internal depth extension. I'd love to know which buffer isn't exactly 2.500" long. Just trying to gather information, man - not attacking in any way. You DID order this very specific KAK buffer... right? This one, this very one: https://www.kakindustry.com/lr308-carbine-buffer-heavy

    Went shooting

    I'm such a 1911 whore, it ain't even funny - that's awesome work, Belt!
  19. If it's cycling too fast, just get the KAK heavy buffer. It comes in at 5.3oz, over that 3.8oz buffer that DPMS gave you. This one: https://www.kakindustry.com/lr308-carbine-buffer-heavy According to @survivalshop, the DPMS factory system is good to go - stock 7.000" internal-depth extension, with the real DPMS LR-308 Carbine spring, and the 3.8oz real DPMS 2.500" buffer. If that thing is cycling too fast, that KAK heavy buffer will slow it down.
  20. That's a good spring to run in a 7.000" extension, and tame a .308AR, so it would be a good choice in this application. We all know that .40 is just "10mm lite," and it recoils like it. At SHOT this year, I hit the Sprinco booth up - the whole crew did, 4 of us. We spent over an hour there BSing with those guys, and talking shop, talking specs - they get it. Look into their "convertible buffer." It was close to release during the show, and it's badass. It's atake-apart buffer, with all the weights you'll need, so you can tailor that thing any way you want to. It's pricy - but it's every buffer-weight combo you could think it. I still can't find it on their website, so you might have to call them about it. That 9mm buffer you got - it's longer than regular 3.250" carbine buffers, and heavier, right? I have two pistol buffers that are 8oz, and those are doing a good job - but on 9mm and .45ACP carbines. That ain't .40.
  21. That was awesome, brother - thank you for posting that.

    SWFA ???

Absolutely zero need to copy/paste and post it twice here, man. If a Mod could merge these two, that would be great.

    SWFA ???

They probably won't be working tomorrow, so calling might not work out. I doubt they're open on Memorial Day. They're a very good company, so I don't think you'll end up with any issues, once you do get to talk to them.
  24. You're gonna be fun.
  25. ^^^ AHHHHH-NOLD!!!
