Sisco Posted September 8, 2023 Report Posted September 8, 2023 (edited) Borrowed an idea from NF1E and picked up one of these cheek risers from TNVC. A great product! Aligns my eye perfectly with the scope. Can't wait to shoot with it next week. Edited September 8, 2023 by Sisco
NF1E Posted September 12, 2023 Report Posted September 12, 2023 Been know to keep a few M14 type rifles around. Only 1 M1A in the whole herd. Whatta Hobby!
Sisco Posted September 12, 2023 Report Posted September 12, 2023 Like the M14E2 stock you got there. Remember as a kid reading the article in American Rifleman about the military adopting that for their SAW’s. I must have been all of 12 years old!

I have enjoyed putting as many variations of the M14 together as I can. At least the ones that appealed to me. There are a few that just didn't cut the mustard.

Cunuckgaucho Posted September 13, 2023 Report Posted September 13, 2023 That blue one would go nicely in a scabbard mounted on Tom's Jeep...

I use the blue to quickly identify my 6.5 Creedmoor M14s. That set up is pretty heavy at 20# but I shoot prone so the weight is not a problem. Whatta Hobby!
Cunuckgaucho Posted September 14, 2023 Report Posted September 14, 2023 Got to admit if someone said they were going to do their M1 in blue, I'd be skeptical but damn that darker blue with black combo is is a sexy rifle.

It is also a 1/2 moa shooter with Hornady 6.5 Creedmoor 140 gn commercial ammo. Whatta Hobby!
shooterrex Posted September 14, 2023 Report Posted September 14, 2023 The Hornady American gunner 140 shoots very well in my Creedmoor too.
ApexJunky Posted October 17, 2024 Report Posted October 17, 2024 After not having a M1A for about a year, I decided it was time to finish my project. No “good pictures” yet but I’ll work on that.
Armed Eye Doc Posted October 17, 2024 Report Posted October 17, 2024 That is an awesome looking rifle. That stock is gorgeous! 😍
Belt Fed Posted October 18, 2024 Report Posted October 18, 2024 That's a really good looking rifle. 👍

NF1E Posted October 18, 2024 Report Posted October 18, 2024 Not really, they are all semi auto M14 type rifles, not USGI M14s.

Those are simply faux kits made by my friend Hawk from USGI parts. The connect to the stock and just appear like the real deal. Best way , in my opinion, to fill the cut out in a USGI M-14 stock. Whatta Hobby!
