survivalshop
I was wanting to go to this range & shoot long range , but after looking at what it would cost , I have second thoughts . Non-Member Rates / Bradford Sportmans Farm $20.00 Daily Fee to Access Rifle and Pistol Ranges. $45.00 For 1 Round of Sporting Clays. (100 Targets). $20/Hour (2 Hour Minimum) on 850 Yard Range. (Must Have Taken Qualification Course First, Cost of Course is $20) It looks to me it would be $ 20 just to have access the rifle range , $ 20 to have a Qualify for the 850 , 600 yard range , Then $ 40 for min. two hour range time @ $20 an hour , at the long range . Add that up & its $ 80 to shoot one day , of course I wouldn't need the one time $ 20 long range qualifying fee after that, but OK ,$ 60 a day after that , WTF. Membership fee is $ 250 a year & its about two hours away . Edited January 29, 2015 by survivalshop
DNP
Business is business. Are there a lot of other long ranges around you? I don't get out to shoot much, but when I do I can be sure I will be spending a few hundred dollars. If this range is nice, and it's where you would like to shoot....I would say pay it. At the very least, you know the money is going to someone who likes firearms. Edited January 29, 2015 by DNP

survivalshop
One of my shooting friends has a membership at a range & when I go with him I can shoot all day long for $ 16 & there longest is a 200 yard range . I have a membership at a FOP range , I pay $ 168 a year , but I can shoot anything I want & any way I want . If I want to dump a full mag , I can , something I can't do at my friends range. Of course at my range, the longest I can shoot is 100 yards . I know business is business , but that kind of money for a two hour shoot , WOW . I could probably shoot the rest of the day at the 300 yard range , but still , I just want the long range , I just can't get by the cost ! Not worth it to me , I have to find alternatives & there isn't many around here , this is the only place I know of in North Florida , to get that kind of long range . planeflyer21
Our club is members/guests only, $75/year for individual or $100/family under the same roof, $6/day for guests of members. If a guest shows up routinely they need to join. Tucson Rifle Club (not in Tucson) is like $80/year to join, open 7 days a week and open to the public...but they have certain ranges available only to members, like the .22 silhouette range or the 1000 yard range, etc. Daily guests are $8 or $10 a day now. They also have access to the 500 yard steel range. Not bad for a 45 minute drive. Both ways.

392heminut
The only time I've ever paid a range fee was when my son was in college in Albuquerque. I would go up there and take him to shoot the USPSA monthly match and the range charged each shooter a range fee. Here in deming I have access to the PD range (50 & 100 yd. bays) and a private range owned by the LGS owner here (3 30-50 yd pistol bays and a 100 yd rifle bay). I can also go out to the old Natl. Guard range that goes out to 500 yds. It's technically closed but people still go there as it's not fenced or anything.
unforgiven
DNR ranges here are free.Do they have that there ?
planeflyer21
DNR ranges here are free.Do they have that there ? Nope. State owns the land for multiple ranges, then leases that land to clubs for X-amount per year. When they yank the chain, they yank it HARD. Really glad to be a part of a private club on private property.
Dale
have one private range about 45 minutes away, sporting goods store owned... they have archery, pistol to 50 yards rifle to 200 yards... $15.00/day... I belong to a club up in PA that has combined rifle/pistol ranges out to 300 yards... free for members... damn it's raining again, at least it's warm... and I won $200 on the super bowl... Robocop1051
I paid range fees for the first time in 10+ years hanging out with Farkle. I drank my fees worth of "complimentary" coffee in the club house.
