Names Zack, I'm an Active Duty US Marine and me and my stepfather both decided we wanted to do a LR-308 Build. Were both using DPMS Lowers. I'm hoping this community will assist me with advice on parts and such as well as compatibility issues. I do have one question already and that's about the Magpul PRS buttstock. Can I use a Rifle Hydraulic buffer with that fixed stock and extension tube or do you guys recommend something else?

Welcome!

This is the hydraulic buffer you'd want to use with the A1/A2 receiver extension in a fixed stock on an LR-308. I wouldn't recommend a hydraulic buffer though as there are more conventional ways to reduce recoil. Using a standard .308 AR rifle buffer (5.4oz) and spring work pretty well in the rifle receiver extensions or there's always Heavybuffers.com.

This time, I'm not gonna say it...

These guys know what I'm talking about.

Welcome, man.  <thumbsup>

Hydraulic buffers have proven to add more complexity to the large AR platform and little or nothing else. It's just an unnecessary wear component in 99.99% of it's use. I have one I'll send you for the cost of shipping if you want it.
