The Fort Lewis is agreat one, brother. Takes a minute, or weeks, to break in, but they're good.
MtnMike
There are some really good Danners, still made in the US, and some crappy Danners, made elsewhere. I'm about 12 years into my 2nd pair of Danner Mtn Lite II hikers. Made in Portland, OR. First pair lasted 15+ years. Expensive - about $350 at Midway. And, poorly named, because they are quite heavy by today's standards, But they've become my outer skin and the Airthotic food bed insert really becomes appreciated once you exceed 10 miles of trekking in any given day. I don't mind paying a premium if it the product performs and lasts 3-4 times longer that cheaper boots. unforgiven
Danner's and Thorogood are a good investment for boots because they can be resoldes. Got a pair of Thorogood coming back from 4th resole. I go here .https://nushoe.business.site/?utm_source=gmb&utm_medium=referral

jim3326
Had to break down and get another pair of Redwings after the 3rd sole wore out. Welding plays hell on the leather over the course of 8 years. Well technically 4 I guess, I have 2 pair and rotate daily to let the other one dry out. unforgiven
I rolled the same way with 2 pairs other pair had toes wore from laying out on the ground. Flat soles minimize getting heel caught and are more comfortable on concrete.https://www.midwestboots.com/product/TH804-4210.html
