Here's a link to the good hardcopy, brother - time to order and get one in hand, to carry with:

http://www.gunlawguide.com/

Here's a website to research and print what you need:

http://www.handgunlaw.us/

I typically work on Saturdays, but I'll see if I can get that one off.  I'll post back in with the results.  They're not too keen on giving me days off, most of the time, but that's not a day that ends a pay period.  I might get it.

So as I understand this its legal to posses "high capacity mags" in CO as long as they're your property?

18-12-302. Large-Capacity Magazines Prohibited - Penalties - Exceptions.

(1) (a) except as otherwise provided in this section, on and after July 1,2013, a person who sells, transfers, or possesses a large-capacity magazine commits a class 2 misdemeanor.

(b) any person who violates subsection (1) of this section after having been convicted of a prior violation of said subsection (1) commits a class 1 misdemeanor.

© any person who violates subsection (1) of this section commits a class 6 felony if the person possessed a large-capacity magazine during the commission of a felony or any crime of violence, as defined in section 18-1.3-406.

(2) (a) a person may possess a large-capacity magazine if he or she:

(I) owns the large capacity magazine on the effective date of this section; and

(II) maintains continuous possession of the large-capacity magazine.

(b) if a person who is alleged to have violated subsection (1) of this section asserts that he or she is permitted to legally possess a large-capacity magazine pursuant to paragraph (a) of this subsection (2), the prosecution has the burden of proof to refute the assertion.

I wouldn't trust them. Just because you can own them......doesn't make them legal in the state that you're traveling to. You have to be careful on this nonsense. It's not worth having an altercation. Verify with the locals if you have to.

I was VERY aware of this kinda stuff before I went up to Edge's graduation last year in New England.

Just sayin brother. Watch out for yourself.

Shepp, don't worry about mags - I've got whatever you need. Well, unless you are definitely shooting whilst in CO.

I shouldn't be, thanks! I've got some 10 rounders for the 308 but nothing under 30 for my 556....other than that I should be good I was really surprised that nm and tx don't honer wi's carry permit, more tx than nm.

What's the specific's on that ?

New governor repealed AWB for LEO. We have a mag cap limit, collapsible stock ban, and muzzle device restrictions. I personally don't believe in any of it, and unless someone was doing something else unlawful wouldn't charge, it is there regardless. But not for me :)

Ooooooohhh....   That's gonna cost ya.   <lmao>

You got one over on her.  She didn't realize EXACTLY what you were talking about when she agreed to it - but she knows now.

Later, down the road, you're going to agree to something - and she'll GET YOU!!!   <laughs>
