98Z5V
Shepp....like this? :) Wash https://www.dropbox.com/s/hovjtf2qav4f7qb/20140929_205449.mp4?dl=0 Almost exactly like that. If you just fired it, first round, it would go. In the cycling of it, it wouldn't catch at the full-cocked position and would stop at the half-cocked position. Second round resulted in it trying to fire from the half-cocked position, and a light primer strike because of that. i ripped into it and found out that you HAD to follow through on the trigger, and make damn sure you held it to the rear after every shot. when you did that, and eased up to reset it, the disconnector wouldn't let go of the hammer - it wouldn't reset. However, follow through, hold it to the rear, give it a nudge forward to reset it, and it would fire the next round perfect. Everytime, if you did that. I think it's the disconnector spring. There's an issue with the disconnector spring. I'll take mine apart tomorrow and get pics - we can work off those, and get shepp to rip his down when he gets back. I'm wondering if they've been building so many, that they forgot the disconnector spring in a few of them. I'm also wondering if it's an issue only on the .308 trigger. My trigger body is a dark grey, and it's the AR15 Match. Shepp's is the AR10, and the body is red. The dude in that link has a red body on his, but I don't think he stated what trigger it was. Might have missed that.
FaRKle!
Check the pull weight adjustment screw. I had an issue with my Elftmann too that required me to watch the installation video on their site to find out what was causing it...If you adjust the trigger pull too light then the disconnector doesn't release (and the trigger won't reset), if you adjust the pull too heavy, then it won't release at all when you pull the trigger. I had mine set too light and ended up having to push the trigger forward after each shot to get it to reset the first time I took it out. Edited April 14, 2015 by FaRKle! shepp
I had that issue with my Elftmann too. The problem is you have the trigger pull adjustment too light. I had to watch the installation video on their site to find that out... If you adjust the trigger pull too light then the disconnector releases, if you adjust the pull too heavy, then it won't release at all when you pull the trigger. That very well could be it Farkle I did lighten it up, I'll try tightening it up more and go shoot it....
