Hi GunXtras here. Was referred by a friend. So glad for that as I am in need of the expertise that I am sure are to be found here.

A little about myself. I'm retired but have a web business selling firearm accessories. I am also a FFL holder. I have just completed a build starting with a Remington Model 700 SPS Tactical AAC®-SD™. I attached a pic. Now I want to try a little more complicated build.

I'm looking into a M5 308 build. I have no tools to accomplish this or have an idea of what I will need. Would someone please advise me as to the tools I will need? Also I'm looking into Aero Precision for the upper and lower. Does anyone know if the FAXON FIREARMS 20", Heavy Fluted, .308 WIN, Rifle-Length, 416-R Stainless Steel QPQ will work with Aero Precision? Need all the help I can get.

Thanks.
Stay safe and all the best!!!

Thanks so much for the Welcomes!!! Yea kinda like NASCAR, not particularly RCR.

The vice blocks that I have been looking at are for a 308. Can't seem to find the DPMS one in stock.

blue109 do you remember where you saw one???

As long as it's for the 308 you should be OK, I would check with the vendor about returns/refunds just in case.

Bit tha bullet and back ordered a DPMS Claw 308. Not too bad, it helped to have a dealer account with them. Now to find a Armorer Wrench. With these two tools could someone point me in the direction of any other tools that are needed???

Thanks to you all, I really appreciate all of the help.

Welcome from Indiana brother I put an assembled M5 upper FDE with 16" barrel that was cut down to 14.5 on a M5 lower both were on sale.Added Aero's nickel boron BCG,LaRue MBT trigger and Armalite buffer tube, spring and buffer.Aero is a damn good product.Had some minor hiccups that were easily resolved.

Welcome from the border.  I have two Faxon barrels, an 18" for the 7.62 and a 16" pencil for the 5.56.  Both are extremely accurate and very light.

Thanks that helps a lot. Going to use the 20", Heavy Fluted, .308 WIN, Rifle-Length, 416-R Stainless Steel QPQ. What ya think???
