Interesting Day

Sometimes things just happen. Monday night, I was invited to a friendly pistol competition an hour and a half away. It's been 30 years since I competed in IPSC, but I figured, what the heck. Showed up, eight of us, good guys, a couple of SWAT guys, few other LEOs, one grand master pistol shooter. Every one had a serious race gun with all the high-end equipment to go along with it. I showed up with my off the rack M&P9c. No, I wasn't competitive, but I had fun. Certainly showed me what I need to work on.

Then yesterday at work we got tornado warnings about 10:30AM. A friend I was going to have lunch with called me to say let's put it off. I asked if he could see anything. He said yeah, the tornado is across the street from my complex and headed east! Sure enough, it was. Passed right over my office. Sometimes it's just better to be lucky...

Damn, glade your ok. Had a pretty quiet tornado season around here last year.

Glad your OK MM, the pistol competition sounds fun. Had one tornado go over me 20 years ago. Hope it never happens again.

But I did watch twister with a kick ass surround sound system once.
