jeremyvyoral
I'm new to 308 AL'S. I recently built a DPMS pattern ar10 and just got to shoot it. It isn't feeding from the magazine. I'm thinking that maybe the bolt is moving too fast. Any ideas how to slow it down a bit? It was bought as a kit so I didn't hand picked any parts. EngrBob
Howdy from the Texas side of the borders. I think we will nee more information. If you load one shell and fire does the BCG lock back? Do you have an adjustable gas block? Who's kit?
jeremyvyoral
I got the kit front Thunderguns.com . After a round is fired the bolt goes forward but fails to feed another round. It is a standard gas block. I had read that it could be a gas problem. Any help is appreciated.
sketch
Welcome from Wa. I used a heavey buffer and spring from Heavybuffers.com to slow my .308 just enough to get it timing correctly. Not sure this is a good fix for your issue? Worked for me.

Robocop1051
New rifle for a new .308ar owner. Not enough lube. There may be other issue at hand too, but I guarantee THIS is one of them.

That gas tube looks too short. Get a pic straight down into the magwell so we can see how far back it extends into the upper receiver. mrmackc
Welcome from Central Texas. Let's start with the easy stuff first after you post all the info you have on the model, description ETC. of your new build. Like is it a 16 "barrel, Gen one or Gen two DPMS LR308? is it a DPMS Magazine. 1st as was stated you need to lube up the upper, the bolt and carrier it needs to be dripping WET. Many here use Mobil 1 synthetic 10W40 , YES like you put in your new truck engine. AND...When you go to the range next time load only one round in the magazine, when you fire the rifle does the bolt lock back on the EMPTY magazine? That info can help separate if it is too much or too little gas.

mrmackc
That should be a good rifle. I couldn't find the Thundergun.com web site except for one that wasn't selling any LT308 kits. Mind posting a good link for us?
