Robocop1051 Posted February 21, 2018 Author Report Posted February 21, 2018 I didn’t buy her, yet. Stopped by the local pusher and saw it on the shelf. I was honestly just killing 30 minutes, and showed up unprepared to see something I wanted. The shop only had the basic SS model. I saw the CDP model online, and I think I’m love.

No biggie there....for me. For me, fit is much when shooting small revolvers, either they do or they don't work well...not much in between.
Robocop1051 Posted March 1, 2018 Author Report Posted March 1, 2018 My grip, on this pistol, makes me want to ride my thumb over the hammer area, in line with the frame. It almost feels as if it was made for that. I don’t know how a grip like that will effect my shooting. If a 9mm cylinder was available, this would be a no brainer for me. Not that I’m preferential to 9mm over .357mag, but I do like options. (I also get lots of free 9mm ammo to play with)
bubbas4570 Posted March 1, 2018 Report Posted March 1, 2018 This looks a lot like the LCR I have, grip/frame/"hammer" area...on the Ruger factory pics of my model....actual gun in hand has a rounded hump area where hammer resides. Mine no longer has the factory rubber grips on it, but I went with a set of Pachmeyer G10's. These made all the difference in feel in my hand, and the little 5 shot absolutely loves my 180gr 357 Mag loads. I know these are completely different frame styles and there isn't any relevance to my changing out my grips completely, but the feel in the hand is most important. Yours is what is important, and if it works, that is all that matters. Mine likes to roll in the hand a bit, much like a single action revolver with a plow handle, but that is part of what I like about how it shoots. It also has the best trigger in a double action that I have felt, even compared to my smithed up Model 19 I used to have. That had a wonder trigger, commented on by others who knew good revolver triggers, and my LCR compares very favorably in every way in my mind. The trigger is even better than my Wiley Clapp GP100....and I liked that one.

You think that's bad...Went in to look at hand guns yesterday. Held this thing instead. Not bad for $2200. Christensen Arms 6.5 Creed ....way friggin light trigger seemed fantastic.
