ATF prosecuting a lawful AR pistol owner

someone probably saw him shoot it with his cheek on the brace and called it in as a SBR... this is FUkkkkkkked up

the fact is, you can go to almost any shooting range across the country and see this ten times over. The AR pistol and it’s commonly attributed brace is not new, nor uncommon. Even here, in the PRK, they are commonplace among the unprivileged masses.

so why THIS GUY? Wtf did he do to get the attention of the G-Men? I’m not advocating the charges. I’m more interested in not repeating his actions the get where he is.

Im mostly worried that this is Joe Dirtbag, who used his “normally legal to own” pistol for felonious and nefarious business, and the G-Men are attempting to capitalize on his piss-poor situation. Using a criminal to advance their position does not bode well for our defense.

From that second link:

Thankfully, after only deliberating for a very short time over lunch, the jurors came back with a verdict of not guilty. However, Mr. Wright has likely incurred tens of thousands of dollars of attorney fees and costs fighting for his freedom – all because ATF decided that it would invent a new interpretation of the law and it did so without notifying the Industry or the public. Let that sink in for a couple minutes…

This pretty much lists his parts - but it doesn't say anything about why BATFE went after him, and decided to go against FATD determinations...
